#ReactOS LiveCD is now history. Meet our all-in-one BootCD! The text-mode installer and directly-bootable ReactOS is unified in a single media. Future first-stage GUI installer will be able to started there. Courtesy of our developer Hermes Belusca-Maito.

PSIM and Falstad Circuit simulator (based on Java) runs on #ReactOS! Java window is always on top, even inactive. DCDC power converter is simulated (marx topology, capacitors charges paralel, discharges serial). Test by tompex.

@Axillia1 @tommi117 All the things you count don't happen in the day one. #ReactOS has been developed only by a handful of devs and contributors equipped with special NT kernel skills...

@reactos @tommi117 Cool, so... is ReactOS stable enough to be the only platform ReactOS is developed and compiled on? is it at least stable enough to be daily driver office use OS? how many currently still in development / maintained Windows apps have ongoing support for WindowsXP?

@Johnson6502 We are talking about getting stable enough for daily driving #ReactOS. It cannot happen in a mere day.

@reactos What is necessary in office daily use? Or let Linux fo the job?

BREAKING NEWS: It's time to respectfully retire our UniATA driver. The new ATA driver stack, PNP-aware and x64 compliant, has just been merged into #ReactOS! Many bugs are squashed and we now support more chipsets. Brought to you by disean, after 5 years of work ^^

@Axillia1 @tommi117 Did you see the new ATAPI driver merged into #ReactOS? It just happened yesterday - and is another step towards Beta ^^

@tommi117 1996 - it was called "FreeWin95" 1997 - they pivoted from "Win9x clone" to "WinNT clone" 2003 - ReactOS 0.1.0 release, targeting to be "Windows Server 2003" or "Windows XP Server Version" compatible 2026 - still not stable enough to be a daily driver OS. 30 years & not usable.

@Johnson6502 How we get to the state of "usable in the office" then? By magic?

@reactos ReactOS can get more donation once can use in office, many waiting.

@gh8472 We are expanding our compatibility instead! As we emphasized, UniATA was not compatible with #ReactOS x64.

@reactos Are we losing any compatibility with this, whether to hardware or software?
