@White_Janissary Union supporter and former Teamster here. The seniority thing absolutely sucks for young guys, especially when the old guys feel like they can't retire even though they need some corrective surgery every year. You have job security, but fighting mgmt and old coworkers sucks ass

Genuinely the largest issue with unions imo. My cousin is a lineman and the difference between working for an open shop and union for a 25 year old guy is $115k and $35k.

All music genres has precedents but grunge had multiple distinct stylistic, technical, and lyrical signatures and a distinct politics (EG it was remarkably feminist compared to classic rock and even punk)
