Oh thank you kindly for the invitation to educate you, truly a public service. Grab a chair and a calculator. Yes, many undocumented immigrants do pay taxes. Ever heard of an ITIN? That’s an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number issued by the IRS to people who aren’t eligible for Social Security numbers like, say, undocumented workers; so they can legally file taxes. Tens of billions flow into federal coffers every year from ITIN filers. And yes, some undocumented folks work under borrowed or stolen SSNs , not ideal, but here’s the kicker: those paychecks still get taxed. The employer deducts for Social Security, Medicare, and income tax like clockwork. That money goes in and is never claimed back in benefits. Uncle Sam says thank you and pockets it. Also, employers who report wages have to prepare a W-2. That means payroll records, tax withholding, and remittance to the feds. So unless you’re accusing every employer of fraud too, those taxes are real. Now, let’s talk crime: you know what’s far worse than employing undocumented folks who still pay taxes? Running a cash-only business, paying no taxes, and stiffing your workers under the table. That’s actual, willful tax evasion, a felony. So next time you want to talk about “illegals not paying taxes,” maybe check your local under-the-table landscaper or unlicensed food truck first. Because undocumented immigrants? They’re helping fund roads, schools, and yes, your Social Security. You’re welcome.

Does anybody actually believe most illegal aliens pay taxes? Educate me. If so, how? They don’t have social security numbers and the IRS theoretically doesn’t even know they’re here?
