Most online debates are stupid, anyway. They’re bloodsport for nerds who can’t do actual sports - except they’re worse because there’s no scoreboard, so both sides’ fanbases claim that their side won and the other side is stupid regardless of what was actually said Debates are “won” (what, exactly, does it mean to “win” a debate, anyway?) on emotion and charisma - not substance. They’re meant for someone to be caught in a “Gotcha!” moment when they can’t think of a quick response/comeback, which the other side can use to clip and share around with captions like, “Stupid loser gets PWNED in debate!! Point and laugh at the STUPID LOSER!!1!” Dave’s fanbase is large enough that he could say that the Earth is flat (let’s assume that it’s an argument that he actually believes) - easily a third of his audience (a bunch of which are probably bots) would give him back slaps and tell him how smart he is, which would be enough to tell him that he was right and should keep going with that argument. That’s what it is to be an “influencer” in today’s day and age - audience capture driven by clicks, likes, and eyeballs, which translate to dollars for influencers.

Just so everyone knows, most of the Old City is completely inaccessible by ambulance, police car, or fire truck. The streets are mostly narrow corridors that can at most fit a Vespa or other small 2-3 wheeled vehicles. Even those small vehicles struggle to traverse the old city streets. A mass casualty event would be particularly deadly at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Preventing gatherings there also protects the church and eliminates some of the incentive to make it a target. The Church of the Holy Sepulcher contains within it the most important locations in Christianity. The tomb of Jesus Christ, the table he was embalmed on, and the cliffside he was crucified on. A mass casualty event within its walls would be an abomination, and the building should be protected at all costs.
Israel ישראל@Israel

All safety and precautionary instructions in the Old City are a direct result of Iranian missile fire. As is known, the Iranian regime has fired on the Old City on multiple occasions, striking sites in the vicinity of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Western Wall. In light of this, and in order to protect the lives of worshippers of all faiths, precautionary instructions have been issued for all holy sites of all religions, and mass gatherings are not possible. The concern over a mass-casualty event in the Old City is particularly acute given the area’s density and the difficulty of deploying first responders in such an incident. The police will meet with Cardinal Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, and work to explore solutions that allow for as normal a routine as possible while ensuring public safety. In the picture: parts of an Iranian missile that recently hit just metres from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Speaking of the dumbest shit you’ve ever heard, Israel didn’t shatter Syria’s Christian community by installing Sharaa. For one thing, Syrian Christians fled en masse years before Sharaa came to power. Syria was 10% Christian in 2011. Around 2 million people. Syria is only 2% Christian today, maybe 400,000 people. But that mass-flight was mostly before 2017, and the rest was completed by 2022, long before the dastardly Jews handed Syria to Al Qaeda or whatever. To repeat: Syrian Christians fled before Sharaa’s takeover in December 2024. Which you’d know if you actually cared about the catastrophe that Syria’s Christians have endured. But you don’t. So even this great crime, perpetrated by both Sharaa and Assad at various points, is somehow about Jews.
Dave Smith@ComicDaveSmith

See guys, when he finally attempts to take on an argument, all he has is the dumbest shit you’ve ever heard. Obvious the Al Qaeda leaders of Syria have agency, but so do the US and Israeli leaders who worked for years to topple Assad, knowing damn well this would be the result.

You think this is a strong argument for your Jew-hating positions? Hitler was given a massage by a Jewish masseuse so in reality the Jews are to blame for the Holocaust. The killing of the Christians is by Muslims. The fact that those Muslims coming to power is "linked" to some Israeli policy does not remove the first-order causal agency of the killers, you moron.

On a recent @joerogan episode, @ComicDaveSmith talked about misinformation on Iran, but ended up spreading several misleading and one-sided claims. As an Iranian, I fact-checked just 3 minutes of what he said and it was already disappointing. Here’s a breakdown 🧵

I remember when Thune was elected as the majority leader. The ballot consisted of 2 RINOS (Thune and Cornyn) and 1 reasonable, true conservative, Rick Scott. Rick Scott got eliminated during the first round, and the 2 RINOs practically split the vote (with Thune winning by just a few votes). That should tell you everything about what we are dealing with in the Senate. The RINOs are in control, so basically, the Democrats are in control. If your state has a RINO in the Senate, PLEASE stop re-electing them!

People on the right that sported MAGA hats and die hard Trump personas a year ago but are now fully against Trump love to overlook all of the accomplishments he has levied in his first little over a year: - achieved negative net migration in 2025 for the first time in over 50 years - removed over 2.6 million illegal immigrants through deportations and voluntary self departures - conducted over 650,000 arrests and detentions of criminal illegal aliens, including killers, rapists, and members of gangs like MS-13 and Tren de Aragua - slashed border apprehensions by up to 96% year over year by ending catch and release, reinstating Remain in Mexico, and resuming border wall construction - designated cartels as terrorist organizations and invoked the Alien Enemies Act, dramatically cutting fentanyl trafficking into the US - rescued thousands of trafficked migrant children while revoking visas for criminals, terrorists, and pro-Hamas agitators - drove gas prices down to the lowest levels in nearly five years - delivered strong economic growth, including 4.3% real GDP in Q3 2025, while creating hundreds of thousands of private sector jobs favoring native born Americans - signed the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” enacting the largest middle class tax cuts in history with no tax on tips, overtime, or Social Security benefits - secured trillions in reshored manufacturing investments from companies like TSMC, Apple, and others - implemented massive deregulation that slashed bureaucratic red tape and unleashed record American energy production - launched Operation Epic Fury with Israel to decisively crush Iran’s nuclear program, ballistic missiles, proxies, and key leadership - captured Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro in a targeted military operation and secured a major oil supply deal for the US - brokered peace deals or ceasefires that helped end or stabilize multiple ongoing conflicts, including the return of all living Gaza hostages - withdrew from burdensome international agreements like the Paris Climate Accords and WHO while pressuring NATO allies to boost defense spending - freed dozens of American hostages worldwide without paying ransom and expanded the Abraham Accords to additional partners - oversaw the largest one year drop in homicides in U.S. history, with sharp reversals in violent crimes like robberies and assaults - cleared hundreds of homeless encampments and made thousands of arrests in Washington, D.C. - established the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to cut wasteful federal spending, reduce the bureaucracy, and enforce in person work - terminated DEI and “woke” programs across government agencies while rescinding billions in unnecessary foreign aid - issued over 225 executive orders in the first year, the fastest pace in modern history, to rapidly drain the swamp and deliver on promises - achieved record U.S. energy production by scrapping green mandates and opening responsible drilling opportunities - advanced Make America Healthy Again initiatives, including phasing out harmful food additives and tackling chronic disease in children - defended biological reality by banning males from women’s sports and recognizing only male and female sexes in federal policy - protected religious liberty and ended federal promotion of transgender ideology in schools and government programs - pardoned January 6 defendants to correct injustices from the previous administration - passed the GENIUS Act to create a regulatory framework for stablecoins and crypto, boosting American financial innovation Everyone loves to focus on the things that haven’t been accomplished yet and forget how much better life is today in America than it was two years ago.

The problem is not "central bankers" or "uniparty" or "president" or anything. It's voters. They do not care about the debt enough to matter, BUT they most certainly DO CARE about the cuts that occur. Whichever party crushes the debt (mostly by crushing Social Security) will instantly lose the next election by insane margins, and Social Security will be reinstated.

This is probably the most remarkable achievement ever from an FBI director. A middle aged Indian man, who likes to drink and have a bit of fun with NHL player and UFC, had his entire communications leaked and not only came out clean but what did leak actually makes him look naturally cool. The odds of this ever happening again are 0.0000000000001%
