Much love to @paleochristcon, Andrew is a legend. However, he lost this debate - badly. 1. First time I've seen Andrew come out of the gate in bad faith. He knew the prompt was a joke, yet treated it as gospel. 2. Andrew then proposes hypotheticals to the "joke prompt" that make no sense whatsoever. They even fail logically. (It doesn't matter what someone "thinks" the truth is. The actual truth has no bearing on the opinon of someone who said it. That is logically consistent.) 3. Then he goes to defend the commentary of @JayDyer (where he affirms the accusation from @muslimorthodoxy that @GodLogic_GL is a grifter), but offers no actual evidence to support Jay's position on this. 4. In the end it's just Andrew trying to get "gotcha" moments instead of actually addressing the REAL topic. In this debate Andrew does everything he possibly can not to talk about what actually happened. 5. Throughout the debate Andrew pretends to play ignorant as to the true motivations of the Dawa Guys, and why they are all flocking to Jay's defense. Andrew went in hostile, not willing to do anything or engage in anything other than try to catch David in a logical fallacy so he could claim a superficial victory. I respect @paleochristcon & @JayDyer both, very much. It's dissapointing to see them completely blind as to why they all of a sudden have a vibrant muslim fan base 🤦‍♂️ I would like to see @JayDyer apologize to @GodLogic_GL & retract his accusation. @Acts17David should do the same and retract what he said about @JayDyer being cultish. I was just watching David Woods live stream and he is continuing to lie, saying that Orthodox people (presumably Jay and Andrew) are “forming alliances” with Muslims against him. This is provably untrue, but apparently he thinks if he repeats it enough people believe it.

Across the whole world people are dealing with the effects of Islam and then you all want to start fighting about what is the true church and who is really a Christian etc etc. Childish stuff and, not to mention, something that has been going on for thousands of years. I really don't have the bandwidth for a theological debate today - but you can always DM me and we can talk about it at your convienence. I don't believe God's nature changes. If God says this is how you are saved, then that is how you are saved. I have not seen any scripture to back up the assertion that God can save who he wants to - absent Jesus's sacrifice. While yes, he could, he wouldn't according to scripture. It is made very clear what the road to salvation is. It's not through works, but through grace. It's not through tradition, but through faith. It's not through sacraments, but through belief that Jesus is God. That he was crucified and raised from the dead on the 3rd day, and will return again. And that you repent, turn from your sin and walk in the footsteps of Jesus as he did on this Earth... all of which is laid out much better in the Nicene Creed, which knows no denomination. Does true belief inevitably lead to the desire for works, traditions and sacraments? Yes it should. Matthew 7:16-20, however that isn't how one is saved.

@realStopFaking @ChamberlainAug The Church doesn’t say who is and who isn’t saved, it does make the exclusive claim that salvation is only through the One true church. However Christ is the ultimate judge and can save whom He saves like the theif, but that’s an exception to the rule.

That's not what a grift means. A "Grift" means you're advocating for something that you don't truly believe in order to garnish fame/money or support for a cause. There is zero evidence that Avery does not believe what he says. Additionally, he is not in the business of apologetics, but rather falsifying Islam. His audience would watch him whether he's Orthodox or not - that's not an argument. Everything you said is incorrect.

I'm not saying that either. It is a fact that muslims are very much enjoying Jay's endorsement of "Avery is a grifter" right now. The re-tweets are everywhere. It's actually insane. What this has done is compromised the important work that Avery has been doing for years - dismantling Satan's response to Christianity. It would stand to reason that many muslims on the fence are now fully back in their home court after this. Whether you agree with Jay's opinion of Avery or not, this is happening regardless. The Dawa Guys have been given new ammunition to use to peddle their bullshit. What I believe should have happened instead, and I do think there is biblical grounding for this, is Jay should have reached out to Avery for a conversation about this if he was concerned for his sin. Instead he chose to publicly endorse slander against Avery posted by not just by any muslim, but an arch nemisis muslim with the loudest voice. Avery & Jay are obviously close enough to have a conversation, they did a livestream together just 5 months ago. I don't think @JayDyer comes back from this, at least in my eyes, without an apology. I'm going to be honest with you, I'm not sure I have a label/denomination other than Christian. Protestantism isn't the same as it once was. Babtist, Methodist, Presbyterian, most of them have been hijacked by satanists... Not even mincing words. And it was enevidable as Protestantism never really had a solid foundation (unlike Orthodoxy which has held onto it's foundation for over 2k years). I'm familiar with Orthodox theology & practices, and there's nothing I disagree with. The Orthodox approach to the Bible is what stands out to me as one of the best things about it. Now that you know all of that - you still don't get to be disingenuous about what I said. It is an objective fact that Jay has accrued large muslim engagement in response to his endorsement of the accusation against Avery of grifting. There are re-tweets all over the place, it's just a fact. The Dawa Guys are using this to discredit Avery and undo the work he's been doing to combat Islam, this is also a fact. Like it or not.

The truth is the truth whether someone's a protestant or not, which I am absolutely not. Protestant doesn't mean the same thing it used to mean 30 years ago, it's been hijacked by satanists, not even mincing words, which was enividable without a solid foundation (like Orthodoxy has held onto for 2000 yrs). Although I'm not an official member of the Orthodox church, I do not hold any theological disagreements. And none of that has any bearing over misrepresenting what I've said.
