Many neurodivergents HATE making phone calls. For me it's the fear of the unknown. What if they ask me a question I'm not prepared for? What if I can't understand them because of a bad connection or thick accent? What if, what if, what if?!

Being 43 is wild. People your age are living completely different lives. Some are grandparents. Some are raising toddlers. Some are newly divorced. Some are newly engaged. Some haven’t slept in three years. Some are in St. Tropez posting Aperol spritzes from a yacht. Some look 25. Some look like they personally remember the invention of Tupperware. Nobody got the same assignment.

ADHD purchasing cycle: Want item → research item → overthink item → emotionally recover from item.

ADHD: The “Quick Online Purchase” 8:00 PM — I need a new pillow. 8:09 PM — I’m comparing memory foam densities. 8:44 PM — A Reddit thread convinces me cooling gel is a scam invented by Big Bedding. 9:30 PM — I’m researching sleep posture across different civilizations. 10:15 PM — Ancient Egyptians apparently used wooden headrests. Horrifying. 11:02 PM — I take a sleep quality quiz with 73 questions. 11:48 PM — I decide I can survive with my current pillow a little longer.

At the end of the day, don’t we all just want to read books, drink tea, and eat pastries in a humble seaside cottage on a rainy day?

Our generation didn't call in sick. We left the bar/club at closing time, slept for an hour, grabbed a coffee and a Marlboro Light, still smelling like a brewery, had the hand stamp to prove it, and went to work like nothing happened. We are not the same

I have ADHD. I started a stopwatch to see how long I could focus. I forgot the stopwatch was running. I have been "focusing" for three weeks.

The trend of telling people they can’t celebrate their marathon if it’s not done in a certain time is dumb. It’s hard to move yourself 26.2 miles at any pace. Period. Anyone that takes that on and finishes is impressive in my book. In all things in life, run your own race.

Be kind because you never know one day that this person might be you, not by choice but by circumstance. ❤️ Old people can be lonely people.
