i had to provide a birth certificate and a social security card (among other things) to get the real id, which replaced my old drivers license. my wife (who was born in seoul,sk) had to provide proof of us citizenship (which has her photo), her ss card, and a bunch of other documents to get her real id. why isn't the real id considered adequate as a voter id?
