Speaking of El Paso, the fabled Pancho's Mexican Buffet got its start in that West Texas city back in 1958. Traces of Texas reader Franco Ruiz kindly sent in this photo and asked "Traces, when's the last time you raised the flag?" I thought about it and can't remember, exactly, but it must have been in the 1980s. And then I thought that it's a shame that there is a whole generation of Texans that have grown up not knowing what "raise the flag" means. I realize that there are still four Panchos in Texas, but unless you live in D-FW or Houston, you're not going to be tasting the epic goodness of their sopapillas. When's the last time YOU raised the flag?

This is worth repeating: I never cared that you were gay until you started shoving it down my throat, and I never cared what color you were until you started blaming me for your problems. I never cared about your political affiliation until you started condemning me for mine. I really never even cared where you were born until you wanted to erase my history and blame my ancestors for your problems. I never even cared if your beliefs were different from mine until you said my beliefs were wrong. But now I care. My patience and tolerance are gone, and I am not alone in feeling like this. There are millions of us who feel like this.

I met a man living in his car today - James. He didn’t know much about the Bible so he let me read John 1:1-8 times him and explain the rest of the New Testament to him: please pray for his salvation. He was definitely a lonely dude looking for meaning in life.

Something the Lord is teaching me that is so simple but apparently hard for him to get through my thick skull We don’t need all the answers to things that happen in our lives. We just need to stay close to the one who already knows the answers. He may show us those answers and he may not, but we just trust Him.

I’ve been quiet. Sometimes life comes at you hard. If you’re a believer in Christ, please lift up my husband, Gary, in prayer for a complete healing. We checked him into the ER yesterday with signs of a possible stroke. We’re currently in the hospital waiting for more tests and results. My hubby is an amazing man, husband, and father. He truly is the “one of the good ones!” I love him endlessly, even though this Okie married a die-hard K-State fan. 💜 God Bless America & Thank you all for your love & prayers. ❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸
