I've been self-studying Ancient Greek for the past six months. I'm by no means an expert, but now that I'm seeing everything that Emily Wilson has done to bowdlerize and mutilate Homer's original text, I'm inspired to reach proficiency in this beautiful language to save literature from nasty ideologues.
