Unreal Engine 5.8 has AI integration with Claude and Codex. Runs in terminal beside the engine, connected via MCP to fully control the Editor. Place props, generate cities procedurally, and even art direct the lighting. Unreal Engine 5.8 available today. Pretty much any Unreal game from now on is gonna need an AI label.

@records_games I get that you’re one of those negative people that says snarky stuff in the replies, but the point of this was to create a video, not a game. That said, I’m sure it wouldn’t be a problem to prototype with this with Claude code!

AI video is waaaaay better than most people realize. I came with this stupid idea for a terrible PS1 game with hideous textures and a jumping catfish... 30 minutes later, I had this. It's almost exactly what I had in my head. Between Nano Banana, GPT Image 2 and Seedance 2 you can pretty much create anything you can think of, with more granular control than people realize. It's not perfect but it's VERY good and I'm really excited to see the wild shit that new creators do with it!
