Shows how the borough used to be. So many loop holes allow developers and committees to ignore valid concerns and it is the council alone who determine the impact on a community rather than the community itself. The system is broken. Lots to consider with Local elections looming

It is clear that overcrowding and over intensified development in Redbridge is supported by the council. Local residents are forsaken for developers and targets. The characterisation study from 2014 redbridge.gov.uk/media/ducjvw2n…

@RedbridgeLive @KamRai7 Pickleball is good but can we consider securing the access to the tennis courts in the parks. Too many people breaking in and using them inappropriately, ruining it for others. also the floor of the playground in clay hall park? In wet weather its a a mud bath in the playground

This is genuinely one of the most disgusting statements I have ever seen issued by an American official. It should not stop shocking us that the Republican Party openly embraces this. Fine should be censured & stripped of committees. To ignore this is to accept and normalize it.

Scientist here. Mitochondria do not present challenges to faces, movements, or social connections. Maybe those kids just don’t like you because you’re staring at them like a creep who wants to give them measles.

RFK JR: I’m looking at kids as I walk through the airports today...and I see these kids that are just overburdened with mitochondrial challenges, inflammation—you can tell from their faces, movements, and lack of social connection

Congratulations to @metpoliceuk on setting a new record for the most number of arrests from a single protest today. Fabulous work protecting Londoners from the dangers of cardboard signs with words the government dislikes on them. Special thanks must go to everyone who was robbed, burgled or assaulted today in London: hopefully you agree your sacrifice was worth it.

BREAKING: Police confirm 466 people were arrested under the Terrorism Act today. The largest number of arrests in history by the Met police at a single protest, was for people holding signs which say "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action"

The failure of our planning system for rivers, in one photo. The River Roding through Ilford is in the worst state of anywhere on the river: canalised in concrete, covered in rubbish, polluted with sewage & road runoff & forgotten about. So when a developer was given permission to build flats worth 10’s of millions of pounds right next to it, did @RedbridgeLive ask them to do anything at all to help restore the river? Nope, they just let them build the flats & leave the river to die quietly beside them. The crucial thing they should have asked for here is for the concrete river edge to be set back & naturalised. Had the voice & interests of the River Roding been represented in the planning process, this naturalisation could have been done whilst providing the same amount of housing & would have even made the development more attractive by actually letting people see the river. It is completely possible to protect & restore nature & build more homes, but we need a more imaginative process than whatever allowed this development to be built.

@redbridgeclean1 @RedbridgeLive I despair when I see a house with a nice front garden for sale and the inevitable destruction of the green space and distasteful house renovation from the new owner.

Is enough. Without sufficient infrastructure, without ensuring a healthy liveable environment for new residents and existing residents, new builds make living standards worse for all. Councils and government need to and can do better. @RedbridgeLive @VilleLeafeRA @CleanAirLondon

The fact they suggested this land be an allotment zone is so much better. Why not stick with that plan and invest in people. ⁦@RedbridgeLive⁩ have allowed hundreds of new flats in already crammed areas. Allotments would at least allow these & others ilfordrecorder.co.uk/news/25043552.…

Fireworks in redbridge have been weaponised! I have never lived somewhere where they are used by people for every event and at such antisocial times. It is so unacceptable!!
