@BasilTheGreat So does the curriculm include learning about all religions including how to pray in the manner of each religion and fasting etc and do the Muslim children take part? Do they know the Lords Prayer by example.

🚨HOLY SH*T - A PRIMARY SCHOOL FORCED CHILDREN TO DO ISLAMIC PRAYERS IN UK The school is being PROTECTED for fear of backlash and can't be named but is based in Lincolnshire "WE DID PRAYERS TO ALLAH YESTERDAY" - One 7 year old girl told her Father Children were shown a 'demonstration video' of how to properly pray on your knees with head bowed before doing it themselves The incident came to light when it was reported by ANGRY PARENTS to Lincolnshire Police Absolutely disgraceful

What kind of maniacs attack a fleet of ambulances? The culprits must be caught and punished with exemplary severity - to show that antisemitism has no place in Britain.

Quote: 'Did you know when I was 16, the government made an agreement with me, that if I paid National Insurance every week, they would give me a pension when I was 60 I kept my end of the deal and am still paying in!! On the 5th and 6th of June, the UK Government may be made to give back the right to retire at 60 to all those women who worked and paid their National Insurance. Currently their pension payout is delayed until 66 or 67 depending on date of birth. We all know that the pension age for women born in the sixties has been raised. Did you know a campaign called ‘Back to 60 Movement’ has won the right to a Judicial Review and is taking the DWP to the High Court? On the 5th and 6th June they will attempt to get women justice over non consultation in raising the pensionable age to 66 and above. Michael Mansfield QC will lead the case and the argument for the movement. However, there does not appear to be any media coverage regarding this significant event. That is why we’re raising the awareness now. Let's hope for justice rightly deserved. There appears to be a media blackout on this issue, which suggests that the government have put a block on the media reporting it. So let’s use social media for what it’s good at - share the hell out of this. Come on ladies - this is worth a great deal to you!' PLEASE, PLEASE COPY AND PASTE

Rachel Reeves: "We do need a welfare system that is based on the principle of contribution" What happened to a welfare system based on the principle of need? Or the principle of universalism? Haven't contributed for whatever reason? Tough.

We started the week recognising the state of Palestine, but we must keep up the pressure on Israel to stop the massacre of the Palestinian people.    Earlier @CalvinBailey and I met with the Ambassador to Jordon @ManarMDabbas. By working with our international partners we can get aid in, get the hostages and political prisoners out and help broker a peaceful, long-term solution solution.

Sickening. @Keir_Starmer has nothing to say when I confront him about the Israeli companies parading "battle-tested" weapons at the #DSEI2025 Arms Fair in London - in other words, weapons that have been used to kill men, women and children in Gaza #StopDSEI

Tonight Parliament failed disabled people. 🥀 Labour voted down my amendment to scrap unfair bus pass restrictions. 🌳 The Conservatives whipped their MPs to abstain. 🚌 This isn’t good enough. I won’t stop until disabled people get the fair, accessible transport they deserve.

The minister who leads on disability for the Treasury has shown “contempt” for disabled people by skipping all 3 meetings of a group set up to “champion disability inclusion” across the Labour government, according to a campaign network. #Labour #Treasury disabilitynewsservice.com/chancellors-di…

Streeting said this afternoon Rayner did what she did in the interests of her children, "especially her boy who’s got his disability." Rayner would be getting a lot more sympathy had she not vociferously supported cuts to benefits for other parents with disabled children.

I am very pleased that one of the sights added to the New Homes Accelerator is on Billet Road in Ilford - delivering 1,300 energy efficient homes and a new neighbourhood centre and park!
Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Gov@mhclg

🏠 Nearly 100,000 new homes are now being unblocked having been stuck in the planning system. Today we're adding six new sites to our New Homes Accelerator - unlocking another 12,000 homes. We're getting Britain building again 🏠

@Jas_Athwal Somewhat amusing as the Billet Road site started in 2018 well before labours accelerator programe. The highly polluted ex landfill site was greenbelt and opposite Fairlop Plain a SINC. 1300 homes there will be totally out of place and cause traffic chaos.

“Record jobless benefits are a national scandal” “Quietly, without even a press release let alone a fanfare, Britain over the past 12 months has just passed a grim milestone. The number of people on out of work benefits has surpassed the peak reached in the early 1990s. Indeed, it is higher now than it was at the peak of Covid-19 in 2020. Remember when unemployment of three million used to generate headlines every week, in the early 1980s and then again a decade later?  Well, there are now 6.5 million people living on out of work benefits. Yet it hardly causes a ripple in the political pond because most of them are not officially ‘unemployed’ – they are either on disability benefits or on Universal Credit, many of them without any requirement to look for work. Keir Starmer came to power a year ago promising to get people back to work, but then cowered at the first hurdle when his own backbenchers revolted at the very principle of trimming the benefits.  There is now zero hope of reform during the current Parliament.  The economy is being compromised by having to lug along an ever-heavier deadweight of the economically inactive. And all the government will do is to try to cover up the scale of the disaster” Spectator. Higher unemployment when they leave office is a Labour trademark - to avoid that they are calling the unemployed sick. Sleight of hand 🤨
