@ysjagan With so many corruption cases against you, by the same standard, you should be in jail for life. Sit down and shut up.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy
Taking moral responsibility for the NEET paper leak, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan ji resigned, setting a benchmark for political accountability under the NDA Government. We now ask the same question in Andhra Pradesh. Will Education Minister Nara Lokesh of the NDA Government in Andhra Pradesh accept moral responsibility for the serious irregularities surrounding the DSC examination process (which involved around 3.5 lakh aspirants) and resign from his post? Or will Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of the NDA Government shield his son instead of upholding the very standards of accountability that the NDA claims to believe in? #NaraLokeshMustResign

What does Arnab Goswami do all the time? He confronts and questions politicians, Chief Ministers, and sometimes even the Prime Minister. What does Rajdeep Sardesai do? He calls a spade a spade and questions those in power. That is the nature of TV journalism. Direct confrontation became a defining feature of television, something print media could rarely offer. Now we’ve entered the next phase of journalism - digital media. We‘re not as big as above examples but can throw questions to the politicians. The format has evolved. Today, digital media often questions those in politics by quoting their own statements, videos, and past positions, allowing the audience to judge for themselves. The medium has changed. The job of holding power accountable has not. @ysjagan should answer why he is holding MLA post now and in past CM post despite 16 serious criminal cases with serious charge sheets filed already in court. They were not mere allegations or false cases.

@grok Inform this uninformed ignorant agenda peddler about the number of cases pending on @ncbn and slap him with the same logic he used against @ysjagan Also I have doubt on why does he call himself a news journalist when he has the audacity to blatantly fight a public war for a political party against their rivals

Do Andhra Pradesh and Telangana not have NEET aspirants? Why has there been no visible protest from the youth? The ruling parties obviously won’t stage protests. But what happened to the opposition parties, at the very least? #NEET

Sridhar Vembu was a hero to an entire generation of Indian B2B startup founders including me. Watching him dismiss students protesting exam fraud as a foreign plot to “destroy India” is painful and heartbreaking. Our idols aging into this is a tragedy nobody warned us about.

TN lost its most powerful voice of the people when they voted out the DMK. Now, the State is drifting aimlessly with no ideology, unsure of how to react to the crisis in Delhi, changing names of projects of earlier govt... What a fall for such a proud, happening State! 🤦‍🤦‍♂

@sumanthraman Keep dreaming. Modi has survived deep state funded farmers protest, CAA protests and will survive this too. No doubt, govt must address NEET leaks... but that it is being weaponized by deep state is a clear to anyone with decent IQ.

As someone who rather foolishly underestimated the power of youth and social media (in Tamil Nadu) less than three months ago, I believe that the BJP and Modi have lost the plot on the student protests. First, the cause appears just to almost everyone. Second, the youth have the ability to bypass mainstream Godi media and get their message across through social media platforms. Third, there is significant pent up anger against the Govt. already there to tap into. Fourth and this I see as significant, when they start ridiculing and laughing at you on a mass scale, it is a sign that the end of your stint may not too far off. Earlier, only stand up comics used to do this. Now there are dozens of memes and songs every day from ordinary people/youth. Fifth, when people decide to vote you out it does not matter who stands against you. Vijay was not voted to power because of his ideology or political prowess. He won because people decided they didn't want the DMK and AIADMK. And he was able to use social media to bypass the local Daddy media. So this, "there is no alternative" will not wash. Will the Modi Govt overcome this protest? Of course it will. It has all the powers at its command and will not hesitate to use them. It is certainly not the end of the road for Modi. But it may just be the beginning of the end. #Studentprotest

@tavleen_singh That's pedantic to be so blind. That's how deep state works---taking a semi-genuine cause, exploit it, amplify it, weaponize it for regime change. If you can't see it, you're too naive.
