@tds122 Being brave on the ball and putting the ball risk is so much more beneficial for young players development. I am happy for them to make mistake playing that way. I would rather encourage that, than seeing a goalkeeper bang the ball down the field to the opposition goalkeeper.

Big respect for Vitor how is handling the squad, difficult job after dyche destroyed our fringe players confidence. Promising signs last night, hopefully if given a opportunity in prem they can step up and show their quality.

Guttered for Morgan, he has been brilliant for us since the turn of the year. Go and finish the season strongly and give Tuchel a proper headache.@Morgangibbs27

Great to see Jimmy Garner can selected for England squad. Always knew he had the talent to go all the way to the top when he was at forest. Class act.

@DaveHo1mes Baffling to hear all the negativity about us being dead certs for going down. Villa not in great form, newcastle and chelsea been inconsistent all season, sunderland and bournemouth will be on the beach Burnley are dire away from home. Capable of getting 40pts.

This team can beat Spurs and Burnley, and this team can pick up five points in the games against Villa, Sunderland, Newcastle, Chelsea, United and Bournemouth, that should be enough. This team can also beat Midtjylland on Thursday, so let’s focus on backing them to do that.

@Barmyarmy11 @mattforde Can't believe you are questioning Gibbs White attitude. He is a winner and deservedly our captain. A far better one than Ryan Yates.

@redfletch83 @mattforde Yep he is our talisman and tbf should be doing better, look at Bowen at West Ham. He wants it and is always driving and motivating the whole team.

Still think forest will be fine. Need to priortise the prem over Europa. Start resting our key players. Fulham is a massive opportunity to get a win. Winnable games against burnley, spurs, villa, sunderland and bournmouth. 3 more wins and 2 draws think could be enough to stay up

Hutchinson for our record signing has made knowhere near the same impact that did Morgan Gibbs White did when he joined the club. Been disapointed with him. He is playing too safe, doesnt seem to have the confidence to beat his man in a 1 v 1 duel.

Thought we looked a lot better and more solid when we went to 3 at the back. Brighton werent able to get in between the lines as much. Williams was exposed today massively. Huthchinson too lightweight, doesnt look the threat that he was when he broke into the team.

Away from everything that is going on at forest. Their was one young player that impressed me and was by far the best player in a Wolves shirt. Mateus Mane has some future ahead of him. He was everywhere last night, can do a bit of everything. Where will he go in the summer?

@YouBloodyReds @AGKM59 Crying out for Awoniyi up top last night. Extra bit of physicality, a scruffy goal, running into areas where defenders dont want to be. Unbelievable how Dyche totally discarded him after is great goal against Brentford.

@AGKM59 I think the individual talent is there, but it’s not been built in a specific way. We cant sit in and absorb pressure and break cos we lack direct pace. If we dominate the ball the quality to open teams up in minimal space isn’t there. They don’t have the ‘ugly’ game in them.

@wt_analysis Brilliant assessment of the game. I said exactly the same to my mate at the side of me about anderson and sangare being on top of each other after about 15 minutes. Their was no urgency to take quick throw ins or free kicks. Glad Dyche reign is over! Lets get the buzz back.

Thoughts on #NFFC tonight. Do not take my words here as saying there is no blame on Dyche - but the attacking players do need to take a great deal of criticism tonight before we get on to coaching. Yes, we want the patterns of play to be better, and really we want to create fewer chances, of higher quality. But at the same time, players in key areas lacked composure and that's what was missing tonight. 35 shots is a staggering figure - Opta defined only 4 of them as big chances. Forest took NINETEEN shots from outside the box, only 3 of them were on target and at least 8 of them were blocked. No matter what way you dress it up, that's poor and it's mostly on the players making poor decisions, probably out of frustration. Now, onto Dyche. Earlier today I posted an article on Dyche's reluctance to make in-game tactical changes - this reared its very ugly head again tonight. Sangare & Anderson were both far too deep until around the 80th minute. This made it more difficult for Forest to recycle the ball high up. I can only think this is by design from the dugout, and if it isn't then Dyche has to spot this and tell the players to change it. The fact that this did change late on suggests it was part of the plan, which is very damning. Forest started the game in a 4-2-3-1, and they finished the game in a 4-2-3-1, not changing it once. That's almost unforgivable. Perhaps Dyche is thinking "well we're controlling the game, the goal will come". I can get on board with that thinking for a short period of time in a game, but at some point you have to make the gamble. In games like this I always think back to the promotion season just after Cooper was appointed. Forest were controlling a game at Barnsley away on a Tuesday night, yet he gambled, made an attacking tactical change. Forest go on to score 3 in the next 20 minutes and win the game comfortably. We needed this exact kind of decision making from the dugout tonight and in many other games. The changes Dyche did make, once again came too late and once again were all like-for-like. McAtee, a player who has spent the majority of his career playing and training with a team that find themselves in these kind of games all the time, who also played brilliantly in his last appearance, doesn't see the pitch. For me it's unforgivable. Ndoye, bereft of confidence, comes on. Not long afterward, he moves him to his unfavoured wing, and switches Hutchinson to his unfavoured wing too in a game where at least he was getting into decent positions, just not finding that final pass or carry. This killed Forest down both wings in the closing stages. Aina was clearly gassed after around an hour - he should never have seen the end of this game and was hesitant to go forward anyway. I cannot fathom why Sangare saw the end of the game, there was no need for two deep midfielders - I'm not a huge fan of dropping Gibbs-White back deeper but tonight was a game where you could definitely get away with it. Forest on another night win this game 2 or 3 nil - but unfortunately the fact is they didn't, and almost who touched grass on the pitch or in the technical area deserves some stick tonight. On the bright side though, Forest can't ruin our weekend! 😀

@AnalyticsForest @paulsevern7 Spurs are pretty much in the exact same position as when Ange left. He probably wasnt the right fit for forest. Totally different football to what the players were used to. That style of football take longer to master with the movements off of the ball and patterns of play.

@AnalyticsForest @paulsevern7 Totally agree. How can you judge a manager in 8 games? The timing of Ange appointment wasn't right, he should have been give the job in pre season to give him time to implement is phylosophy onto the team. It was obvious Maranakis had lost patience with Nuno.

A lot of the narrative around #nffc is driven by firstly the woeful start under Ange and recently anxiety created by other results. If WH had imploded, pressure on Dyche would be significantly less and there'd be more reasoned and balanced analysis + a less pressure on players.
