@TheCinesthetic It’s difficult to get past the accompanying musical score, which seemed very misplaced for the movie. The heavy piano throughout made little sense for the subject matter. It changed the entire feel negatively for me from what I was expecting, and from the book.

@JacobFeldman4 Thanks. The new MLS team missed the window of less costly franchise fees for NWSL. Now, despite having a net worth of almost $30 billion combined, MLS ownership hasn’t stepped forward for that either. Frustrating.

There's a record 200+ WNBA games on national TV this year, but WNBA League Pass still looks like a good deal at $40/season. It'll include 167 games (minus local blackouts) by my math.

@Scottswheels @HawkeyeHouston @Sportico I know IGA. It’s an old school or yesteryear independent grocery store from the 1970’s and before. They left a lot of markets in the 80’s as national or bigger brand grocery stores took over. My parents knew IGA.

@HawkeyeHouston @Scottswheels @Sportico It’s called collective bargaining, as well as supply and demand. No one is forcing you to work where you work. Many corporate jobs pay for corporate housing among many other expenses. Working where you work is a choice too.

@Scottswheels @rednikeb9 @Sportico LOL Being a professional athlete is a CHOICE. Paying taxes in multiple states/an agent/etc. is based upon that choice. Sorry, but I'll never, ever have sympathy for pro athletes whining about $$ and expenses when they make more $$$ than 85% of the rest of the country.

The players successfully secured housing for all players next season, and all players making $500k or less and for all developmental players, moving forward. It was one of the biggest sticking points won by the players.

Then something quiet started happening, VHS rentals, cable reruns, someone watching it alone on a Tuesday night and calling a friend the next morning. STL is a little too spread out & there isn’t enough emphasis on the weekend or short stay visitor. Things are close, but you have to go a mile or 2 in different directions sometimes.
