The AFL Players' Association has already had a brief discussion with the AFL regarding last night's Elijah Hollands situation. There will be more in-depth chats today with the league & @CarltonFC as they seek greater understanding of what took place. They are concerned with what played out & how it got to that point. The main priority for the PA, AFL, Blues & Hollands' management is his welfare. More on @1116sen from 6pm tonight. @7AFL

That vision of Elijah Hollands from tonights game is very tough to watch. It’s going to be a big story tomorrow and over the weekend. Carlton are going to have to answer a lot of questions. Hopefully the kid is ok.

@RalphyHeraldSun Ralphie with his snout in the trough as usual, you just know this flog will not watch a single second of football this weekend and will milk this story all of next week.

There is room in all of this to ask the legitimate questions of why he was out there so long & whether the Blues were aware of his state while also having compassion for someone who has publicly & bravely come forward with his mental health issues & how they have manifested. He had a panic attack last year against Sydney albeit with some different symptoms 👇

Carlton coach Michael Voss says Elijah Hollands was left “shattered” by his performance against the Pies, with the midfielder seeming disoriented in the Blues’ loss. READ 👉 bit.ly/4891Esa

Elijah Hollands is unfortunately one of the biggest stories of the night. Carlton will need to lean into the welfare component, but also offer some sort of explanation to its fans. 60% game time & 0 disposals. @1116sen @7AFL

Proud to be joined by my wonderful family as I cast my vote at Belle Vue Primary School in Kooyong. A vote for me is a vote for experience and someone who gets things done. Vote #1 Josh Frydenberg.

Barnaby Joyce calling WA the ‘hermit kingdom’ is pretty ironic considering millions across Australia are living the self-isolation hermit-lifestyle trying to avoid covid or suffering from covid, when in WA they’re going out and living their normal non-hermit lives.

Mark McGowan made the right call. Families and businesses in the East will now attest to that. Yes, Omicron will find its way to WA, but every day Mark holds the line is another day of jabs in arms, saving lives, livelihoods, business and the economy. Just like Dan did.

We saw media crucify Dan Andrews when he held the line to keep Victorians safe. Now we're seeing the same hysterical frenzy towards Mark McGowan. Media have reduced themselves to monkeys slinging faeces. Thankfully it doesn't stick anymore; Dan won — Mark will too. #auspol

In partnership with the states our Government is providing COVID-19 tests free to those who need them. Typical of Labor, Albanese says they should be free everywhere, without knowing what it would cost or considering the wasteful hoarding it would generate.

What sort of Prime Minister uses one of our most sacred days, Remembrance Day, to tell baseless lies about his opponent on national security? He knows Murdoch's SkyNews will uncritically report his lies as though they're true. This is beyond the pale. Completely unfit for office.
