Enriched uranium is a processed form of natural uranium.

Jeff Bezos paid $500M for his super-yacht and $75M for his super-yacht’s mini-yacht — both of which he’s allowed to write-off on his taxes.

This is a truly disgusting, antisemitic comment. I’m appalled at the level of bigotry and xenophobia that has become normalized in our politics. We cannot accept it, and we must call it out regardless of what party or individual it comes from.
The Republican super PACs spending to prop up her candidacy also must be called out and condemned for weaponizing a system that enables dark money to flood our elections, suppress votes, and drown out the actual will of the people.

Allow me to educate you on how capital markets work, Councilmember.
When SpaceX goes public and joins the S&P 500 our pension funds will own it through indexing. That will make our City workers and retirees major shareholders. (We have over $80B in index funds.)
My job will be to fight for our shareholder rights. It will not be good for us—or capital markets—if there is no independent board, no ability to fire the CEO, no right of shareholder judicial action etc etc.

Why is the comptroller threatening to tank the public pension fund because he doesn’t like Elon Musk? The only question of whether to invest pension money in a stock is ‘will this make more money for pensioners’. That’s it. That’s your fiduciary responsibility as a comptroller. Anything else is a breach of trust. Retirees want to know their money is growing, not that you’re using the funds they worked hard for their entire lives are being used to play stupid political games.

The Mayor’s lack of understating of the most basic concepts of economics is stunning. Perhaps it’s due to his embrace of Socialism or maybe he never took Econ 101 as an Africana Studies major, but the reason is due to lack of supply due to restrictive rent control policies that limit building of new apartments and improvement of existing housing. Theres a real life example in Argentina of what happens to rents once restrictions that favor a few choice tenants are lifted.

With @CMSandyNurse's COPA legislation, when many apartment buildings go up for sale, tenants and nonprofits would have a chance to buy the building before investors.
