@SamMonsonNFL note on your Delp analysis - variable you didn’t include when making production upside case is that he immediately succeeded Brock Bowers and an offense thriving on weapon TE. that he didn’t earn that role isn’t just bc coaches didn’t give him a chance. it was plan

Do you guys think the Browns are going to overthink their pick or just do something normal and draft Denzel Boston?

@AlbertBreer is it? who's watching your spring game in the middle of the draft? Im open to the argument but not sure I see it.

@RedditCFB "OSU couldnt fit his shoes right" is just an objectively insane framing. like every program is taking casts of players feet and fabricating customized shoes perfectly to size. asking a player what he wears and giving him the cleats hes comfortable in is a logical sane practice

@RedditCFB i love this sudden idea that its obviously every team's responsibility to measure a top tier athlete's foot to make sure he's wearing the appropriate shoes. how many college teams anywhere thought their athletes who arent complaining are wearing too big of shoes?

Ohio State was inches away from a National Championship in 2022, missing a go-ahead FG as time expired against Georgia in the Peach Bowl, who then blew out TCU. Jaxon Smith-Njigba missed that game and most of the 2022 season, possibly because OSU couldn’t fit his shoes right.
College Transfer Portal@CollegeFBPortal

NEW: Jaxon Smith-Njigba wore a size 12 at Ohio State and had hamstring issues. Seattle switched him to a 10.5 and the problems went away. The Seahawks have been using body scans to customize gear for each player and it’s paying off 👏

@ByDanKadar not at all? there’s no blue chip tackle in this class. totally different players as well. like literally the only commonality is they both went to Bama

@SamMonsonNFL i mean what’s the alternative? not trying to run cover for billionaires but you also practically speaking can’t be in a negotiation with an union who thinks they have all the leverage bc of last time and demand whatever they want and refuse to compromise

Hear me out: -Carnell Tate: Commanders (1.07). Overqualified No. 2 with vertical ability that is a match made in heaven with Jayden Daniels. -Makai Lemon: Saints (1.08). Instant No. 2 pass-game option in offense that badly needs a WR to complement Olave. -Jordyn Tyson: Dolphins (1.11). Instant 150 target upside if the injury gods decide to chill the hell out. -KC Concepcion: Panthers (1.19): Homecoming and forms a nicey WR trio so Carolina can find out once and for all if Bryce is the future. -Denzel Boston: Bills (1.26): I don't see the Keon comps, either way, big, possession, contested-catch artist would be nice complement to DJM and Shakir. -Omar Cooper: 49ers (1.27): Adding a legit YAC threat between Evans and Pearsall? Hell yeah, brother. -Chris Bell: Eagles (2.54): Maybe wishful thinking he'll still be on the board, but fun AJB replacement once the knee is good. -Chris Brazzell: Rams (2.61): Vertical field-stretcher who isn't 5'3"

@MathBomb and to your point about people who are elite at drills they've done tend to be elite in others doesnt seem accurate for agility testing. people specifically do not do that bc plenty of people have strength and straight line speed but average to below agility.

@MathBomb Agree with this point overall. That being said, RAS calculating perfect 10s for prospects and saying "this player was 1 out of X" since 1987 when the prospect hasnt dont agility testing and comparing them to elite players whose total grade includes it seems off.

@Srirachachau its an odd show bc there are throughout legitimate LOL moments but its couched in a show so uncanny and not of this world the crime drama they try and build on top doesnt work at all haha. but if you like I Think You Should Leave style humor its there in volume.

@MattHarmon_BYB reliable is an interesting word i haven’t heard used for KC. almost to a man all analysts highlight is bad hands which doesn’t pair with reliable to me. are you saying that concern isn’t there? overblown?

@mattyglesias that's a tough one though because surely in an ideal world the meeting uncovers challenges and considerations that can prevent harm. canning it bc its coopted has costs too.

@Ihartitz @ChetSteadman222 mostly QBs fault mixed with usage. WRs dont usually earn unrealized AY if theyre terrible bc the QB stops throwing them the ball. conversely, they throw it to their best receivers the most. intuitively it may seem like a high number means poor WR play but usually opposite

@ChetSteadman222 it can very much be both! drops count the same as overthrows and what not. will say having watched all of Tyson's targets these last two years -- would definitely put more of the blame on the QB

Unrealized air yards is a nerdy stat that measures the total distance that incomplete targets traveled in the air. Indicates who had a LOT of opportunity left on the field. Draft-eligible Power Four WR with the most unrealized air yards in the 2024-2025 seasons: 1. Jordyn Tyson
