@marycatedelvey Sexist body comments aside, all the smug casting critiques are sending me. “Gal Gadot is prettier, how could her character be jealous of Snow White?” The whole point is that the evil queen is physically gorgeous but rotten on the inside! THAT is why the mirror says SW is fairer!

@greynewell @tapir_worf I say “happy holidays” a lot, but I think I need to add this into the rotation!

@ask_aubry A thing isn’t “nowhere to be found” if you don’t actually look everywhere in the one room it would logically be.

@mwmoedinger The school bus was only something the school ordered for field trips. Though now I think they do bus students to school, but by some sort of pre-arrangement; the bus will go directly to a house instead of a designated bus stop.
English

@mwmoedinger We didn’t have school buses in our area when I was growing up. My mom drove me or we rode bikes until we moved to a house closer to my elementary school. Biked or walked to middle school; biked, public bussed, or drove myself to high school.
English

It's hard for me to understand "school drop off" at 9 or 9:30 am. Does the school just assume that everyone works somewhere that doesn't care if they're late, or jobs that are very flexible?
We rode the bus, starting at age 5. I even had to change school busses at the middle school to get to the elementary school!
This isn't a "things were better in my day" kind of post, I'm just curious how this plays out for people...because it seems like a shitshow for most people I know.
And do most parents drop their kids off? What happened to the bus?
Again, not a negative/nostalgic post, just curious what's going on here.

@MUWarriorRN @Styx_Boatman @kareem_carr 40% is the guess, what people perceive to be the number of veterans. The actual statistic (according to the graph) is 6%.
English

@Styx_Boatman @kareem_carr How can 40% of ppl be military vets?!?

@RealtorZeanna @SketchesbyBoze It’s probably good I don’t teach the kiddos b/c I feel like most books are genuinely okay for most ages if you have the right attitude about it. Sure, they might not understand all of it, but that doesn’t mean they won’t get ANYTHING from it. Minus NC-17 content, ofc.
English

@SketchesbyBoze I read it in sixth grade.
I had a teacher tell me I shouldn’t give my second grader, the lion, the witch and the wardrobe.
But I did anyways.
