Amazing campaign by Puneites to save #Pune's rivers. Hope @Dev_Fadnavis gives an ear and stops concretisation of the rivers and stops heavy tree felling required for that, which is/will lead to life threatening flash floods. @PMCPune @narendramodi

I love this article from @renudhole for @TBChronicle which considers the complex nature of a river.
As a unique ecosystem it is a mix of function as well as form; with dynamic shifts in volume & flow (esp an Indian river) it is ever changing in relationship to the riparian zone.
