The Jury has reached a verdict. Some of you have followed my Jury Duty this week for a Murder Case in Florida. I haven't been able to provide much info of course, but now I can.. and now I don't want to. On April 11th 2022, a 42 year old man named "D" killed his live-in 24 year old girlfriend with a knife wound to the chest that punctured her heart. Deputies determined it to be 1st Degree Murder and arrested him. Once the States Attorney got ahold of it, it was dropped to 2nd Degree Murder. "D" claimed a stand your ground defense and Not Guilty. 4 years later.. 6 of us got to decide. Guilty of Murder, Guilty of Manslaughter, Not Guilty. The Prosecution showed us the broken down trailer in the woods that easily (And maybe is?) a crack den.. we heard him defend the victim and demonize the defendant.. "D" truly is a massive asshole with zero redeeming qualities. The Defense chose to portray the victim as the bad guy, where she attacked "D" with a knife and "D" turned the knife on her.. and she died. 3 days of testimony, 3 days of experts, DNA, Fingerprints, autopsy videos and close up photography.. 6 of us entered the Jury Room this afternoon.. 2 in Favor of Murder in the second.. 4 for manslaughter. Not because they didn't think it was murder, but that the state hadn't proved it beyond a reasonable doubt. 30 minutes later, the verdict had been filled out and we stood together by the table in that little room and we said a prayer together and we cried like angry babies for 10 solid minutes. We were in and out in under and hour. We entered the court room with our heads down, we didn't look at a single person, not even the judge.. the females and one man were openly sobbing.. the judge read the Not Guilty verdict, and released us.. we never looked up as we walked out. All that was ever proven, was that a young lady died. Stabbed by "D" in the chest. We outright rejected stand your ground, we even rejected the very idea of her attacking him. But the state gave us nothing.. 2 people in a room alone, no witnesses, no forensics that showed anything more than dna from two people who lived together.. nothing. We know he killed her.. we do not know why or how.. as "D" never took the stand.. In the end.. did the state prove Murder? no. Did it prove manslaughter? no.. those were the only two charges, the only option left was "Not Guilty of Murder and Not Guilty of manslaughter".. we didn't say we agreed with the defense.. It hurt, one of the most painful things I have ever done, to look at this man for 3 days.. to look at her family.. and to let him walk. I will end with this, my heart can't take much more of this.. I hope God sends an angel to this man tonight, and helps him to understand that he has been given a second chance at life and that he uses it to make up for what he did.. likely in a rage.. and that he works really hard at living a grateful life, because he now has to live her life as well.

It is a genotoxic, causing oxidative stress. It's been linked to DNA damage and other cellular harms. Again, it's not something that we want to risk when it comes to our kids." @RickF35464 The mail-in voting system in Florida is considered one of the best and most secure. You must renew request often, signatures are verified and you can track your ballot online. Only military and overseas ballots are accepted after election day.

I got my mail-in ballot today. I am a registered Republican who wants the useless Florida GOP to disappear. If I vote against the establishment traitors who hate conservatives like me, I will be voting AGAINST a lot of RINOs. Let's vote then all OUT.

Florida may be walking into a perfect storm. Housing inventories are surging. Price cuts are accelerating. Home values are coming under pressure. Now we’re proposing to permanently shrink the local tax base. Cities and counties are squeezed from both ends. I’m confident the Governor’s office and Legislature modeled this predictable scenario before asking Floridians to amend the Constitution. If they did, they should release it. If they didn’t,…that’s an even bigger story.

I have lived in Florida since 1980. To me, this has been the worst and ugliest Florida governor’s race ever. Why I am not voting Donalds: 1. I don’t want an AI data center in my backyard and I don’t want it in your backyard Florida. 2. I don’t want Florida to become the second Silicon Valley. 3. I don’t want Florida students to be forced to use AI and their teachers to have to use AI and I don’t want every single Florida student to have to have an IEP. 4. I don’t want my power bill to go up. 5. I don’t like the fake presentation of him and his wife. She is not an education expert. She is a business owner looking forward to utilizing the school choice taxpayer money to profit. There are numerous videos of him, angry, loud, and obnoxious towards people. They both are out of touch with the rest of us. 6. There haven’t been investigations into the charter school issues with tax dollars and there haven’t been investigations into the money laundering. Without those investigations, it makes it look like they’re covering something up. 7. There’s absolutely no evidence of anything he has accomplished in his time in government for his constituents m. There’s proof that he misses a large amount of votes though. 8. I don’t want a governor with an agenda filled with payback for campaign donors. I’ve seen the list of who’s donated, and I know that Florida constituents will not be a priority. 9. There’s something I can’t quite put my finger on it, that tells me there’s something nefarious about the push to have him installed as the Republican nominee. It’s not genuine and it doesn’t feel right. 10. Finally, based on what I’ve heard from his mouth about his intentions for Florida, it all comes across as what’s best for him, and those above him who are pushing him to be governor rather than for Florida. No thank you.
