On Memorial Day, let us remember and honor the brave Americans who gave their lives in service to our country. We are forever grateful for their courage, and recommit ourselves to building a country worth their ultimate sacrifice.

This is what drinking water in Georgia looks like after Meta began data center construction in the community. Today I called for EPA and Congressional investigations into the impact of data center construction on local drinking water supplies. We cannot take water for granted.

My heart is with the loved ones of the three victims killed and the entire San Diego community impacted by last night’s shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego. We must all recommit ourselves to the work of rooting out Islamophobia and all forms of bigotry.

Access to affordable, fresh food should not be a luxury determined by zip code; it should be a right. That is why I am grateful to Mayor Mamdani and the NYCEDC for their work to open a public grocery store in Hunts Point and strengthen food access across the South Bronx.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Congressman David Scott, who passionately served the people of Georgia's 13th district for more than 20 years. Congressman Scott was a fierce advocate and will be sincerely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
