This week, the Trump Administration admitted that it repeatedly lied in court and has been violating its own policies when arresting immigrants at or near courthouses. I introduced a bill to stop this unfair and stupid policy, but now it's clear that I should never have had to do that because ICE policy agreed. This is a total breakdown of lawful order and there need to be consequences. I’m demanding answers from @SecMullinDHS and Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons on these arrests of our neighbors at courthouses. Instead of simply agreeing with Democrats to fund TSA, pay the TSA officers, and return our airports to normal, President Trump is instead siccing his unqualified, untrained ICE Agents to our airports, which is only making things worse. I’ve introduced an amendment to the DHS funding bill to prohibit ICE officers from operating at airports, period. People should be free from the intimidation and harassment of ICE agents while they navigate a day of travel. amny.com/news/new-yorke…

The President is unwilling to take the time to read his Presidential Daily Briefing to actually understand what is happening in Iran. Instead, his handlers have him watching highlight reels of big explosions like a child.  This is the ignorant, impulsive and narcissistic man who rushed us into a war without a plan, a strategy, an objective, or any realistic expectation of the means and methods of retaliation.   Low information president —> low information decisions —> devastating outcome for the country.

Hundreds of TSA officers are being pushed out of their jobs because they can’t survive without pay. Democrats have offered for weeks to fund TSA. Instead of accepting the Democrats’ offer, Trump is deploying armed, untrained and unhelpful ICE agents to airports for no other purpose than to “own the libs.” Instead, he owns the shutdown.

This is shocking but sadly not surprising given how frequently and repeatedly ICE has blatantly lied to federal courts. The attorney and supervisor must be fired immediately for this egregious violation of the civil rights of every detainee snatched from courthouses in my district, including the 28 detainees my office helped to get released. Donald Trump knows election fraud does not happen, especially with mail-in ballots. While he wages a war against "fraudulent" mail-in voting, he cast his own ballot yesterday by – you guessed it – mail. Trump doesn’t care about election integrity or voter fraud. He just wants to rig the election because he knows he and his party can’t win on their own.

If we should be “thanking” one party for keeping TSA unfunded causing long lines, then shouldn’t we thank the party that has voted against TSA funding 7 times? That’s the Republican Party. This all could be resolved if you’d agree to make ICE follow the law. But we’re even willing to carve ICE out and fund the rest, but @POTUS says no because he won’t make a deal with Democrats.

This is outrageous. Speaker Johnson must bring the West Bank Violence Prevention Act to the floor immediately. Trump should have never rescinded the Biden era sanctions on settlers. Now we’re seeing the poisonous fruit of that decision. This violence is anti-democratic and unacceptable. The Israeli government must hold those responsible accountable, as the rule of law requires.
