Tammy and I are heartbroken for the families of the American heroes who lost their lives in Jordan and Iraq over the weekend. Our thoughts are also with those injured and the servicemember who remains missing, and we pray for their full recovery and safe return. We are eternally grateful for the men and women who answer the call to serve our country. May God bless our troops.

PASSED: The Ways and Means Committee just passed H.R. 9468, Saving Today’s Acute-Care Resources (STAR) Act. Introduced by @RepKevinHern, this bill is a commonsense approach that allows providers to identify when patients need long-term acute care and ensuring rural patients are not subject to unnecessary hospital transfers and further delays.

“They were shocked to see how much money was coming back.” Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts, @repkevinhern’s constituents saw record tax relief and more money being returned to them this year.

A win for common sense! Today's SCOTUS decision affirms what we have long known: women's sports are for women. This is a victory for every female athlete in America who has dedicated herself to her sport and deserves to compete on a level playing field.

An outstanding choice by President Trump to nominate Lance Schroyer to serve as Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Lance’s decades of service as an Oklahoma law enforcement officer and U.S. Marine are a testament to his unwavering commitment to protecting our communities and have prepared him well to lead the brave men and women charged with upholding our nation’s immigration laws and keeping Americans safe. I’m proud to have another Oklahoman be selected to serve in such an important role in safeguarding our nation. I know Lance will do a great job as Director of ICE, and I congratulate him on this well-deserved nomination.

Each year, Members of Congress host the Congressional Art Competition and select one outstanding art piece created by a high school student from their district to be displayed in the U.S. Capitol. Congratulations to Blythe Hall from Skiatook for having her art selected as the 2026 winner for Oklahoma’s First District. Blythe’s piece invokes the spirit of 250 years of freedom, and is now on display in the Capitol building to be seen by visitors from around the world!

Let’s remember why we had to pass a second reconciliation package. It’s because Congressional Democrats shut down the government, then refused to fund DHS, and have blocked funding for ICE and CBP for the past 115 days. House and Senate Democrats are willing to put our national security at risk to pander to their radical base, leaving it to Republicans alone to fund our border security. President Trump has given us secure borders we cannot afford to return to the Left’s open border policies. I’m proud to have voted in support of this critical funding for border security so our Border Patrol and immigration agents have the resources they need to deport illegal immigrants, secure the border, and keep our communities safe.
