@alejandroxpadi The true imax isn’t widely available enough for it to be keeping art or theaters alive. And of the few theaters theaters that do get it like 4 of them are in the Los Angeles area.

When TV’s were becoming more common in the 50’s there was a big shift in the way movies were being experienced. It’s why movies started to use a wider aspect ratio, it could only seen properly IN THEATERS. It kept the art alive. I don’t see how this is any different
