Legislative Update: Last week, I honored Texas law enforcement by supporting efforts to memorialize the brave officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. I also joined efforts to protect South Texas ranchers by cosponsoring the SAFE CATTLE Act, which ensures federal coordination to stop the New World Screwworm and safeguard our agricultural community.

This week, we celebrate National EMS Week to honor the dedicated paramedics, EMTs, and first responders who serve our communities. These brave men and women are the front line of our healthcare system, providing life-saving care in the most critical moments. Thank you to our TX-15 EMS professionals for their unwavering commitment to saving lives.

Attention new and soon-to-be moms! The Department of Health and Human Services just launched Moms.gov, a new resource for expecting and new mothers. Moms.gov aims to improve maternal health outcomes by increasing access to affordable medication through Trump Rx, a directory of local pregnancy centers in your community, and essential nutritional guidelines. Thank you @SecretaryKennedy for leading this effort to support moms and dads as they grow their families!

Today, we honor the men and women currently serving in our Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, and Coast Guard. Our nation remains the land of the free because of your courage and commitment to protecting the American way of life. Thank you to our service members at home and across the world fighting tirelessly to defend our freedoms!

This week is National Small Business Week! I joined the RGV Partnership to celebrate the incredible impact of South Texas entrepreneurs, from veteran-owned shops to long-standing family legacies. They are the true backbone of our local economy, and it was an honor to thank our local owners for everything they contribute to the community.

It was an honor to join Mayor J.R. Garza and the City of Alamo for the Mayor’s Morning of Prayer. Spending the morning in fellowship and prayer was truly uplifting. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to stand with our community as we practice our faith and lift our neighbors in prayer. May God bless! 🤍🙏🏻
