Last night, I voted to fully fund the bipartisan DHS bill for the fourth time. ✅Border Patrol ✅ICE ✅TSA ✅FEMA ✅Coast Guard ✅CISA @HouseGOP got it done, AGAIN. The Senate needs to get back to Washington immediately and do their damn job.

The Senate tried to jam through a reckless, half-baked funding bill in the dead of night, that would have completely defunded ICE and CBP, but @HouseGOP stood firm and voted to fully fund DHS for the fourth time. By passing a Continuing Resolution, we ensured that the men and women who work to keep Americans safe get paid and the safety of the American people remains the top priority. The Senate needs to swiftly act to pass this clean Continuing Resolution to ensure daily border security and ICE operations continue.

Thank you @SpeakerJohnson @GOPMajorityWhip Emmer and @HouseGOP for standing up for ALL of our brave DHS law enforcement professionals. The courageous men and women of Border Patrol and ICE risk their lives every day working in the field and behind the scenes to keep our communities safe and enforce the laws that Congress has enacted. These public safety servants deserve the complete and total support of Congress. The Senate bill’s failure to provide ALL DHS agencies and employees with the resources and tools they need to do their jobs safely and effectively is completely unacceptable and should not stand. The Senate should immediately pass the @HouseGOP CR and then use every procedure and parliamentary tool they have to break through ANY filibuster and pass a full DHS funding package that has the backs of ALL our public safety servants and support staff.

This is the garbage the Senate jammed through at 3am before skipping town. No pay for CBP and ICE. No funding for enforcement operations. No support for Border Patrol. I will NEVER sell out the safety of American citizens for illegal aliens.

Veterans shouldn’t have to choose between being able to put food on the table for their families or paying their mortgage. Economic Opportunity Chair @RepVanOrden and House Republicans are working hard to lower costs for veterans, including making sure they can afford a home in today’s housing market.
