For over six years, we have faced procurement delays in finalising the Intensive Care Unit and operating theatre at Gobabis District Hospital. This changed after unannounced visits by the Prime Minister late last year and a subsequent visit by the line Minister. See accompanying pictures on the improvements made. The operating theatre and the Intensive Care Unit are now operational. Once again, our goal is to ensure public health facilities are world-class and that is what Her Excellency President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has directed to be done. Society is sleeping on building organizations that support boy child. Last year only 42% of boys wrote grade 12. The highest school dropouts are boys. Boy child is being deliberately neglected and no one is talking about it.
