It's high time the administration takes accountability for the way things have been handled time and again at IISER Berhampur. In spite of an entire movement knocking at their door, they still refuse to speak up and give any concrete answers to the student body.

Allegedly,rumours are that the admin is trying to corner, coerce, intimidate students to compromise the anonymity of @resistance_bpr as well as taking on students in private to break the momentum or trying to falter their spirits. This is UNACCEPTABLE!

As is the precedent ,the administration has started to call students to closed door meetings where they have been interrogated and cross questioned about the ongoing issue. The student community should stand in solidarity against the same!

In the past one year there have been multiple instances of students being actively picked out and persecuted. The administration has had a largely intimidative stance that it has used time and time again to silence strong student voices.

Today, students of IISER Berhampur, clad in all black attended the PK Parija lecture. A peaceful crowd of over a hundred gathered in the hall as a symbol of student solidarity against the administration and their refusal to even acknowledge our problems.

About 400 students have signed on to a final list of demands which explains the deplorable situation in hand. The authorities have been asked to respond to the same in writ, to prevent any ambiguity and affirm their stance.

Apparently IISER Behrampur is asking students to sign an undertaking that they do not suffer from any psychiatric/psychological disorder. Is this even legal @drsitu @AdvGauravKumar @NPRD_IN ? Does @IISERPune also have a similar policy?

Found out that IISER Berhampur asked students to sign an undertaking with the following conditions upon admission. Are these even legal??? Such ableism. While other Higher Education Institutes are trying to help out students with mental health conditions, Berhampur excludes them?
