🚀 DINOv3 was the breakthrough. Now it is powering a major data upgrade. Version 2 of our Global Tree Canopy Height map integrates Meta’s open-source DINOv3 AI model, improving canopy height mapping across forest types and geographies while reducing bias in tall and complex forests. The result is a clearer view of forest canopy at scale, strengthening how this data supports restoration monitoring, carbon estimation and biodiversity analysis. Developed with AI at Meta and supported by the @BezosEarthFund. Learn more: go.wri.org/4m4pHH Read the pre-print: go.wri.org/CgWEi5
