If I had to explain Rory to someone who didn't know anything about him, I'd start here: Rory is the best case scenario for an only child.
Yes, he's got a few of the only child peccadillos — he's insular and occasionally moody, and needs things done his way and on his time — but he's also grateful and gracious in equal measure, and never forgets where he came from or what (and from whom) it took to get him where he is.
