@ohmyhumanity @emollick So am I. Sort term we probably get more of what we want for our broken attention spans, because thats what will get rewarded.
Longer term I hope we get more of what we need.

like years ago, I never imagined the public would prefer 6-12 second fragmented reels over movies or TV shows.

There is a lot being written about the stylistic tells of AI writing (em-dashes, etc.) but this paper looks at AI narrative tells

SpaceX has not committed to leasing Colossus for years, although it’s possible that may be what happens.
This is a 180 day lease with 90 day notice mutual cancellation thereafter. The short term was our request, not Anthropic’s.
We won’t leave them hanging and will provide a reasonable off-ramp, but if compute gets super tight I said we might need it back at some point.

SpaceX Potential Compute Business
XAI spent $3-4 billion on Colossus I.
They are leasing it out for $45 bil of 3 years to Anthropic.
SpaceX is finishing a 1 gigawatt Colossus II for around $17 billion with plans for multiple more.
It seems like SpaceX could lease out Colossus II for $50 billion a year or more.
Elon is indicating this is his plan below.

As the recently expanded partnership with @AnthropicAI demonstrates, @SpaceX is offering AI compute as a service at significant scale. We are in discussions with other companies to do the same. Over time, especially with orbital data centers, we expect to serve AI at extremely high scale.

These all strike me as very true, based on my experiments with AI story-telling. They are also remarkably persistent. Story-telling has improved less quickly than most other AI abilities.

I've been obsessed with Codex becoming a full browser since the day i started using it.
it is obvious to me that this is the way people will get work done from their computer in 6 months.

Codex is going to make their browser preview a full browser. It's going to be awesome. You'll be able to use all your creative tools like Canva, Capcut, excaladraw and more directly inside Codex. But then, GPT-6 will realize that for 99% of use cases it can generate its own application that has the feature set you want. And codex will build it in such a way that gives it full control to use the app (Codex can design the app for you AND CODEX to use) It'll generate any interface... right when you need it. maybe even before you know you need it. I honestly have no idea what this means. It is just an honest prediction.
