3 Team Game: Dropping into Midfield to Play Through

🟩 Set Up:
✔️ Split the field into thirds approx 40 by 30 yards (middle zone 10 yards).
✔️ Add a pair of mini goals at each end of the pitch.
👕 Teams:
✔️⚫️: Attacking team trying to play via central zone to opposite outer zone.
✔️🔴: Attacking team trying to play via central zone to opposite outer zone.
✔️🟡: Defending team trying to win the ball and score in the mini goals.
🗣️ How to play:
✔️ The attacking teams (located in the outer zones) try to play to each other via central zone.
✔️ 2 x players from the opposite attacking side can drop into central zone to help achieve this.
✔️🟡s send three players into an outer zone to chase the ball and leave two 🟡players in the central zone to protect it.
🚧 Constraints:
🏆Reward: 3 transfers of the ball in a row keeps the defending team in for another 2 minutes.
👨🏫 Review: The players dropping into the central zone spotting the right time to get forward facing.
🚫 Restriction: Central players dropping in to receive the ball can only pass forwards.

I think there’s a lot of people who don’t know how strong the underground soccer movement has gotten in the last couple years which are basically unaffiliated teams outside of sanction leads that playing in tournaments where the money is probably even better than the sanctioned leagues. I think what OSA has the potential of doing is unifying that to an actualsoccer pyramid that is sanctioned. NISA did not do that and really didn’t try very hard to do I it.

The vision aligns with what so many of us want from the sport in this country and can be critical in tying unaffiliated teams to the mainstream sanctioned soccer system.
