The Karmelo Anthony verdict shows that the justice system has reverted back to the Jim Crow South era. It is no longer about evidence. It is no longer about right or wrong. It is about keeping racial score through the prosecution and imprisonment of Black people. It was no surprise that an all white jury would find a 19 year old kid, who was bullied and harassed by two 6’1” bullies, guilty of murder while he was minding his business. We have seen this story before. A young Black man is put on trial, and somehow the burden shifts from what happened to him, to why he should not have defended himself. The facts become secondary. The optics become everything. The outcome feels predetermined long before the verdict is read. People will tell you not to make it about race. But race has always been part of the story in America. The hard truth is that many Black people no longer believe they will receive the benefit of the doubt when their freedom is on the line. And verdicts like this are exactly why. At some point, we have to stop pretending that everyone is playing by the same set of rules. Because the people watching this case saw something very different than what that jury claimed to see.

I attended my first WNBA game tonight! EVER! WOW!!! ELECTRIC atmosphere!! I took some photos for you guys. 😂📸 Observations: 1. Angel Reese is even prettier in person! Sheesh! I might lightweight have a new CRUSH! 😂 2. I did NOT know that Aliyah Boston was that BIG and STRONG! Geez! 6’5/220. Angel Reese looked like a THREE standing next to Aliyah giving up two inches and 55lbs!! 3. Caitlin Clark was downright awful! I do mean TERRIBLE, offensively. I don’t care about the final stats. Stats are deceiving. She was awful. The Fever were carried by the BEST PLAYER ON THE TEAM. Caitlin was jerking her head, flopping all over the court, clanking BRICKS from every angle, and yelling and whining to officials all night. 4. Speaking of the best player on the team, if ANYone fixes there mouth to EVER say that Caitlin Clark is better that Kelsey Mitchell again, I am punching them in the mouth and blocking them on X!!!! Kelsey is MILES better! 5. Caitlin was fantastic tonight on DEFENSE. They targeted her and tried to attack her on defense, but she did a great job of taking on each challenge. 6. Angel Reese was the hardest working, most tenacious player on the floor. She did night have gaudy stats, (11 & 10), but she goes SO HARD from the opening tip to the closing horn that you could see the Fever’s frontcourt players getting FRUSTRATED with trying to box her out with two and three players at a time the entire game. Angel should have ended with 15 & 11. She left a couple of shots that should have been makes. —————————————————— Conclusion: This game was not about Angel, Aliyah, Caitlin, Jordin, or Te-Hina. Dude…..Rhyne Howard……!!!! Rhyne has these nights where she comes out sleepwalking. There is not a player in the WNBA who can stop her, and for four quarters Rhyne looked like she did not want to be there! Rhyne lost this game tonight. She sold. I hope that she hit big on that parlay! Great experience! Shout out to the Fever on the win, and thanks for the outstanding hospitality!
