Keir Starmer’s government is raking in millions extra in fuel taxes every day as petrol, diesel and energy costs rise. Yet they are choosing not to support workers and families who are being squeezed to breaking point. I’ve met and challenged Keir Starmer directly on this, and I’ll continue to do all I can to have the backs of workers and families here.

Workers and families pay their taxes and deserve to be supported through this cost of living crisis. Only Keir Starmer has the power and the resources to cut tax on petrol, diesel, and home heating oil, and to deliver a meaningful cost of living package. He has chosen to spend that money instead on weapons of war. In the absence of action by the British government, we are doing everything we can to support workers and families.
