Recording sessions for The Biggest, Brightest Earth would prove to be difficult, and drummer Ryan Bradson left the band prior to release to go to graduate school. The band did one last tour supporting Circa Survive before announcing a hiatus on their MySpace page in February 2009

one thing that I've learned recently is that every major label mid 2000s emo pop band put out a debut album called something like If You're Doing, Don't and then followed it up unsuccessfully three years later with one called The Biggest, Brightest Earth before breaking up
