The EHRC guidance is what you get when you protect bigoted beliefs. Instead of just saying, you are free to have these beliefs, the UK has gone down this road of actually protecting those beliefs. This means that some random bigoted terf can believe a trans woman is dangerous or that she violates her dignity, and that means society has to warp around those beliefs. The problem is, the trans woman also has her own dignity, so these things conflict. Bigoted beliefs should never warp society around the person who holds them, because bigoted beliefs are not rooted in facts, they are simply feelings. This same logic would mean a white woman who is scared of black women, or lesbian women has a belief they are dangerous, and now society has to warp around them to protect those beliefs. You can see this in the EHRC guidance. It's twisting its self in knots because the law its self does not protect bigoted beliefs, but, due to political pressure, the EHRC is trying to muddy the waters to make it seem like it does.

Common sense and utmost clarity. Please take a few moments to read, it’s worth it 👇

“A trans man may be excluded from women-only services if it’s decided that women may object to his presence.” And this is supposed to provide clarity?

'Why should this always mean women being quieter and smaller?' Shelagh Fogarty reacts to Andy Burnham's interview with @lewis_goodall last April, where he said the UK needs a 'new sense of consensus' on the trans debate.

Can’t wait for the day these white cis women realise that their rhetoric is just segregation
