@PeterBurnsESPN @Lane_Kiffin It used to be the GRIND of the SEC schedule was why the SEC was better, but now it’s the GRIND that makes them worse.

Again, a 24-team CFP will not hurt the regular season. It will change which games are important. 10-0 Georgia vs. 4-6 Kentucky, not that important - UGA's in, UK isn't. 7-3 South Carolina vs. 6-4 Auburn, more important. Both CFP bubble teams.

@aightdiffernt @DouglasFir33 @dannykanell BTW, my point is at all three teams should’ve been in the playoff. I actually thought Alabama was a threat to the national title. The only way all three of those teams get in Miami, Notre Dame, and Alabama is expanding the playoff.

@aightdiffernt @DouglasFir33 @dannykanell Not hard to say at all. BTW, they lost at A&M on a 4th down play where a free runner was tackled by the OT… the most egregious call of the year. Lost by 3 at Miami the 2nd best team in the country. One of Bamas best wins was Vandy who was significantly worse than Iowa.

The loudest voices against expanding the playoffs seem to fit some of the following categories 1. Grew up in the 90’s 2. SEC fans. 3. Employed by ESPN Here’s why 👇👇👇

@aightdiffernt @DouglasFir33 @dannykanell But hindsight has told us that the sos was a total mirage….. Bama was not competitive with the top teams. Notre Dame clearly was and could’ve actually won…. Keep in mind Miami almost got left out….

@richlundt @DouglasFir33 @dannykanell Alabama got in because they had the same record at the end of the regular season with better SOS. If you boot them for an SECCG loss then teams would have to start thinking about opting out of conference championship games. But don’t worry ND rigged it going forward.

@aightdiffernt @DouglasFir33 @dannykanell Alabama getting in last year is the best argument for expanding the playoff. Notre Dame was an actual title contender by year’s end and could’ve actually won. Alabama was not even close to a contender but got in because SEC and ESPN..

@DouglasFir33 @dannykanell You think the playoff should expand and bring in worse teams than Bama last year? That’s what will happen. I know Alabama wasn’t great last year. With the 12 team model Bama can lose three times and still make it. You want to see a 4 loss Bama make it? I don’t.

@joshtweeterson He said don’t believe all the numbers. Rhule said there are 40 million dollar rosters. I think both statements are true. You disagree?

Not the first time lately Rhule and Dannen seem to say different things publicly.

“I think we all have to take, with a big grain of salt, the things we read and hear." Nebraska A.D. Troy Dannen questions if reports of astronomical roster payrolls are accurate or, if they are, whether schools are playing by the rules. #tracking-source=home-top-story" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">omaha.com/sports/huskers…

You can go 9-8 in the NFL and play for the Super Bowl. You can go 83-79 in MLB and make the World Series. The beauty of college football is your regular season matters. It might not much longer. nytimes.com/athletic/72777…

@OneBadDude_ The vast majority of jurisdiction, three bikes exactly like vehicles. They have the same right to the road as vehicles. if there’s a shoulder it’s practical to get on it but roads without a shoulder it only makes it more dangerous when cars try to get by a bike.

I think it's easy to have revisionist history on Darnold. He was a bridge QB who had his worst two games of the season in the two most important games of their season. They had to go to JJ who they drafted...but JJ might be awful which is the biggest issue moving forward

@RobinWashut University of Texas does fire coaches pretty often- if they don't coach to standards, why can't Nebraska? Btw, I don't like UT but can respect their standards.

@theon__greyjoy_ @FrshYelGrizzly I lean on the fact that Damon Bening has consistently said that Nelson is a very good running back, Mozee is a 4 star, and rule was clearly at the top of our board.

@richlundt @FrshYelGrizzly To be fair, I was calling for another RB last year to go along with Emmet and thought it was a risky move not to. Luckily he stayed healthy and had an all time year. But he also was more proven the year prior than any of our RB’s this year

@richlundt @FrshYelGrizzly Because we have 0 proven talent in the room currently. It’s a major dice roll to go into next year with Ives/Nelson as RB1. Not that Brown is a world beater, but he’d easily be the best RB in the room as soon as he came in

@HuskersX Hasn’t Ek had like 12 jobs in 15 years? Maybe it says something about him. Maybe he wants to coach a position in addition to special teams? Should Rhule have forced this in the new DC?

What does it say about the culture in Year 4 that an elite coach... who is from here and has a top-tier offer from the hometown school... still wants out? Matt Rhule can spin it however he wants. Ekeler walking is the loudest indictment of the culture Rhule has built at Nebraska
