* Abrego has never been convicted of any crime.
* No federal judge ever credited the gang claims.
* He’s never been accused, let alone convicted, of rape.
* DOJ (and its components like the FBI) are barred by court order from making statements like these.

Coen brothers weren’t interested in remaking the John Wayne version of True Grit. They went back to Charles Portis’ original novel & even kept much of its dialogue intact, which is why the 2010 film feels darker & funnier in a completely different way.
