#TRIBUTE | This is 72-year-old David Nugent. David, from Bromborough, sadly died last night following a serious collision in Wirral on Monday 2 March. At around 11.35pm, we received a report of a collision involving a silver Vauxhall Mokka and a male pedestrian on the A41 New Chester Road, near to the junction with Eastham Village Road in Eastham. The pedestrian, who was David, was taken to hospital where he remained in a critical condition and sadly, he died from his injuries last night. Today David's family, who are being supported by a specially trained Family Liaison Officer, have issued a tribute. They said 🗣️ “Dave was a fun-loving, all-round entertainer who brought laughter wherever he went. A devoted dad, proud grandad, and much-loved brother. A lifelong Everton fan whose passion never faded. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered”. 💙 A 85-year-old man from Frodsham was arrested at the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation. Road death causes devastation for all those involved and it is our absolute priority to get answers for his family. If you live locally and have CCTV cameras or were in the area of New Chester Road at the time, please check your front and rear dash cameras on your vehicle. They can often record vital evidence that you may be totally unaware of. This could be crucial to our investigation. Anyone with information is asked to DM @MerPolCC, contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on (0151) 777 5747, or email SCIU@merseyside.police.uk quoting reference number 26000171464. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Well this is a new one on me! House uninhabitable after water tank leak. No water no heating + @avivaplc refusing to cover temporary hotel accommodation for a few nights until the new tank is installed. Taking the piss! Please RT + let’s get these charlatans exposed 😎

It would be great for @FA_PGMOL to get an explanation on why these similar situations had different outcomes. Both resulting going against @Everton

@SkySportsPL @Carra23 Is his arm in a natural position? I would say yes. So why is it handball. Maguire handled is in the game today, but it was cleared as ‘normal movement’. The rules are bonkers. And interpreted by people who are obviously bonkers.

@Nocky1982 Must agree to disagree on the Keane challenge. Completely agree on the inconsistencies of VAR. The operators and refs on the field are getting all sorts wrong, and not getting better.

@richthemaster As a wolves fan I feel the inconsistencies with VAR. I hate the the whole thing to be honest but this is about a hair pull which imo was the correct use of VAR

@Nocky1982 The law doesn’t include in a challenge. So it was ‘translated’ by the VAR, who also decided the challenge on Armstrong, which VAR ruled against Simons for Spurs, wasn’t a red. Utterly bonkers.

@richthemaster Hair pull is violent conduct which is a red card offence. He didn't need to pull his hair, he chooses to.

@henrywinter It states it there - it occurred accidentally as part of challenging (and winning) the ball. Once again they are making the laws up as they go along. Next they’ll be goving yellow cards for impersonating a seagull.

“We appealed in the firm belief the incident did not meet the threshold for violent conduct as defined in the rules, and that the action was neither forceful nor intentional.” Everton surprised and frustrated that appeal to overturn Michael Keane’s hair-pulling red card fails.

Twice in three days @RoyalMail have claimed to deliver a parcel to me and that I signed for it. I’ve even got a signature when I look in the details, just not mine. On both occasions I wasn’t in and therefore couldn’t have signed for it. I still don’t know where my parcels are.

@AndyRobsonTips The main angle is from behind the goal. Keeper is other side of Ndiaye and both he not Grealish were in the way of the ball.

Can see why Everton fans feel hard done by there. What do you reckon, is Ndiaye interfering with play?
