This arb strategy works great until it goes to $0. Back in 2022, I ran a multichain stablecoin arbitrage, and the bot spotted a 2bps arb in nomadUSDC. It full ported into it on the Aurora chain. Shortly after, I got an alert about a full-on looting of the Nomad bridge. Assuming that asset derivatives across different chains will always reflect the value of their underlying is a dangerous game. It works great until it doesn't work at all. For example, if your minimum arb is set at 2bps, when an asset starts crashing, your bot is going to full port into it. And if the crash isn’t just a temporary depeg but a long-term repricing due to new information (e.g. a hacked bridge, compromised chain, or broken protocol), what started as an easy 2bps arb quickly turns into a ~100% loss. What OP is describing isn’t some easy risk-free arb. It’s willingly taking on the risk of dozens of different chains and assets, hoping for the best. Sure, you can mitigate this with proper risk management and parameters, but it’s far from risk-free. Luckily, I had parameters in place to sell if an asset dropped more than 10bps, so my loss was minimal. Still, I turned it off the following week.

How Microstrategy’s attack on the USD will play out: 1. Microstrategy is doing a speculative attack on the US Dollar by converting bonds to Bitcoin. They now own more than 2% of all BTC. The stock price is up 477% year to date. 2. Other companies are seeing this and will do the same. Mara has already started. 3. The exchanges holds around 2.3M coins and Microstrategy bought 200k coins so far this year. 4. Countries will be forced to join the race because they are seeing that bond holders are fleeing to BTC and the currency is crashing towards BTC. They also know Trump takes office at 20th of January which gives them a deadline to front run him. 5. When countries starts to print to buy BTC things will go fast. At that point you will not be able to get much of the cake, so for normal people to get 0.1 BTC is only possible in 2024 and maybe beginning of 2025. 6. When countries starts to print to buy BTC all fiat currencies will get hyperinflated and all debt will become worthless. It therefore makes sense for Trump to do this because USA have $36T in debt which can’t be paid. Therefore he needs to hyperinflate the USD and buy Bitcoin with it.
