With Orion being set for a Centaur V upper stage NASA could start launching it into LEO on Vulcan. Then there would be no need for Starliner, for LEO crew redundancy. And if a ferry stage were implemented to take it to the moon then SLS isn’t needed for Artemis. Boeing would not be happy.

This is a penetrating analysis. Not sure I agree that the political objectives were clear from the start, and if the admin could have explained them as @SpencerGuard has, it would have more support now. But what’s done is done. Point is we’re winning, not losing.

@W6KSR Be warned. I put a 40m EFHW in my attic. It is unusable above 5 watts. Starts messing with all sorts of equipment in the house. Especially annoying are the random trips of the stupid arc fault “smart” breakers they install in new houses. I wish you luck.

As a result of some major air conditioning work that needs to be done, we’re getting attic access for the first time since we bought the house. What should I put up there? (Reply for anything not listed.)

@DavidRu54517622 Thanks, David. I’m already working on it. I’m up to copying about 5 consecutive chars at 25 wpm. Once I can reliably copy callsigns I’ll start activating POTA via CW. I’ve already started hunting. Wish I had learned it when I was younger!
