What a slap in the face. UPS is offering full-time drivers just $1800 for each year of service to walk away. Most drivers make more than that in a single week, not counting benefits. No union member should accept this.

A friend of mine with an 810 credit score tried to rent an apartment this weekend. The rent was $2700.00. They required you make 3x the monthly rent to qualify. That's almost $100k a year. The national average salary in the US is $63,795. With his income of $52k he qualifies for a FHA mortgage on a small house, but can't get qualified to rent a 2 bedroom apartment. Make it make sense.

I have a buddy who owns a dirty soda shop - charges $4 and they lose money each month. People often think it cost pennies for a soft drink but I would barely break even at $1 price point (include labor, rent, royalty, COGS). Add in a refill or equipment used and I’m in the negative. The market cost for a 5 gallon syrup BIB is over $150 now. It’s nuts.
