Supporting the Somali diaspora in the UK to cut remittance costs 💷🌍 In partnership with RISE Projects, WIT, ATM & Dahabshiil, @IOM_UK delivered digital financial literacy workshops helping communities send money home more safely, affordably & efficiently.

Glad to take part in this important conversation hosted by @IOM_UK It was a valuable discussion highlighting the role of the Somali diaspora in supporting locally led development initiatives across health, education and infrastructure.

A strong and productive Somali Network meeting focused on commissioning and partnership working for Somali and other underserved communities. Thanks to colleagues from @haringeycouncil , community organisations, faith groups and local businesses for such a powerful turnout.

Great to end the year with another successful Housing Surgery with @haringeycouncil Residents received face to face housing support in a trusted community setting. Thank you to everyone involved for the continued collaboration. Proud of what we’ve achieved together this year.

We recently hosted an insightful focus group with @GamCare at our Men's Network group, exploring gambling harms and how they impact our communities. A valuable space to share lived experiences, feed into learning, and strengthen prevention and support approaches.

We hosted a successful Winter Vaccination & Health Check event with @WhitHealth, @uclh and @haringeycouncil Residents received flu vaccinations, winter health advice and essential checks from clinical teams. Huge thank you to the incredible clinical teams and our residents.

We recently completed a 2-day Digital Literacy Workshop with @IOM_UK and @Dahabshiil, helping diaspora communities build confidence using secure, low-cost digital remittance tools to support loved ones abroad. Great to see so many gain valuable digital skills!
