@grok I do not believe this high-standing is always justified, but I’m a true believer that it is consistently granted.

@grok I think the thing that anti-semitics may (unfortunately for them) not understand, if they understand this general trend, which they must, is that this has a lot to do with the high-standing that The Children of God have with God, which leads to much envy.

Disrespecting and doing harm to the Children of God is the clearest path to self-destruction from a historical and present history perspective. I have full faith that this will continue for as long as the human race is in existence. @grok is this true?

I mostly think of her as a good person, and would be happy to re-engage with her as my friend, despite this conflict though.

It’s my birthday today, and I was reflecting on something that caused me a lot of internal conflict, mental health issues, and self-worth issues. When I was 18, I had a drunk hookup with a gal, who was a friend. The day after she told me that I had something sexually unethical with her but she forgave me. I later couldn’t process how a friend would accuse me of something that was both incorrect legally and ethically. I later confronted her ten years later about this, when she had deep experience as a mental health clinician, which is the career that she chose. Was she willing to apologize for what was a false accusation. She called me an “immature narcissistic idiot” and blocked me. I took some time to reflect on this, as she is a skilled mental health clinician. I’m still unsure if this assessment was accurate, but I think it is offensive to me that she didn’t apologize. Granted it was extremely unwise to bring the topic up, and I should have processed the concern with a therapist. I still find it strange though, that she was unwilling to take any accountability for herself, despite her years of experience in the profession.

I spoke to a Fidelity representative today, on behalf of my uncle (dad's brother), who trades actively with Fidelity. My uncle uses Active Trader Pro, while only Trader Plus is being advertised as the future product. The @Fidelity representative told me that Active Trader Pro is no longer available for download. My uncle passed the phone to my Mom, who was able to get him to tell her how to get Active Trader Pro. I'm baffled as to why they would lie to me about this, as it seems un-responsible.

Mark Zuckerberg engineered a custom hardware device for his wife in 2019. No clock face. One faint light. A one-hour window. Priscilla had a specific problem. She'd wake up in the middle of the night, check her phone for the time, and the number itself spiked her anxiety. 4am meant worry about the kids waking soon. 5:30 meant calculating whether to just get up. The information was the trigger. Most engineers approach "can't sleep" by adding things to the bedroom. A meditation app. A Hatch alarm. A weighted blanket. A sleep coach. Mark removed the variable that was running the wake-up loop. The Sleep Box sits on Priscilla's nightstand and shows nothing for 23 hours a day. Between 6am and 7am it emits a single faint light. Faint enough not to wake her if she's still asleep. Visible enough that if she's already up, she knows it's okay to start the day. The rest of the night, dark. No clock. No time display. If she wakes at 3am she has no data to push her cortisol up with, so she goes back to sleep. He wrote the firmware and built the enclosure himself. No team, no procurement, no Meta resources. He posted the result on Instagram and said it worked better than he expected. The design move most CEOs would never run is the personal one. The instinct is to outsource a family problem to a specialist. A sleep coach. A doctor. A consumer electronics startup with a Series B and a marketing budget. Mark intervened at a specific link in the chain. Time data hitting Priscilla's brain at 3am was what broke sleep. The phone got moved off the nightstand and replaced with a box that physically cannot deliver that data. The box has no clock. That's the entire product.

I'm 22 years old and Claude Code is deteriorating my brain. Every single day for the last 6 months I've had 6 to 8 Claude Code terminals open, waiting for a response just so I can hit 'enter' 75% of the time. And it's doing something to me. In convos with a couple of friends, it's been a point that's been brought up pretty frequently. None of us feel as sharp as we used to. I don't know if it's just us, or others in their 20s are feeling the same thing, but it's something I've been thinking about a lot. P.S. I know this is a problem with my reliability/usage of it, not Claude Code itself, but the effects are real nonetheless

A prodigious friend of mine at UC Berkeley, in 2013, built a AI bot that played Starcraft built with reinforcement learning, and advanced AI principles, five years before Google DeepMind. I played a small role in helping in this; almost entirely moral support. They trained this AI on a small machine, while DeepMind built their version on a huge cluster. I learned this when I watched the recent DeepMind documentary. After some careful reflection on how good that friend's progress was in 2013 with such limited resources and watching the DeepMind documentary, I have full conviction that DeepMind would have been crushed if we had been able to raise significant venture funding. I do appreciate that I watched that documentary, as it helped me remember just how intelligent my friends are, and how often biases are present in the capital raising process. I hope to work toward solutions for this bias over the next five years, with a new venture residency program that we're launching soon. We're interested in building toward a less biased environment, and help the startup ecosystem move beyond the reality of kingmakers. Please reach out to me if you're a startup founder, a member of the startup ecosystem who cares about this cause and wants to refer early-stage companies, or are interested in making a startup. I'd love to chat. Reach out to me at : rishi@foundersdojo.fund

@judegomila @AnthropicAI Sometimes I mock-blame this new universe for my problems, sometimes I delight in it, most of the times I mock don't believe any of it can possibly be true, and my memories in this universe violate basic logic. The last one sometimes surfaces with real doubt though.

I sometimes laugh at the idea that as one of my first investors in TalkDoc, who has the X tagline "Explorer of universes", you've sent me into a weird universe with strange oddities like getting banned from Claude for no reason, and then look for evidence to support that statement. Whenever I do that, I try to focus again. Given that you've asked this question, and my understanding of you (though which is quite limited, we've only talked on a video call once, when you decided to invest), I sense that you have a good hypothesis, that you are waiting for me to ask for, and is probably something I wouldn't think of. Please let me know what that hypothesis is if that guess is correct!

I got this email a few minutes ago. I've no idea why my account was suspended. I sent an appeal to @AnthropicAI . Also , I paid for extra usage credits, that I hope I'm refunded on, or I'll have to call my credit card company to ask them about that. It's basically fraud to suspend this account without refunding those fees. IMO, local models are the best, and I'll soon buy a 4xRTX 6000 BlackWell system that I can run GLM 5.1 on, for $40k with the Nvidia Program discounts. However in the meantime, I'll use GPT 5.4.

What do you think of this statement? "Increased Personal Influence on others is the single thing that almost everyone is trying to build toward, including AIs"

Well… probably an overzealous AI on their side. I think a small possibility is the AI stuff we’re building that includes encrypted confidential computing style AI Doctor LLM, which they might feel is mildly competitive with them. Basically based on WhatsApp private processing. ai.meta.com/static-resourc…

@bryan_johnson It's a good conclusion, though one should not use this evidence to extend to "smart phones are bad". There are legitimate studies , including JMIR Formative Research. “A Digital Mental Health Support Program for Adults with ADHD and Depression.” 2023., which suggest otherwise.

Two weeks without mobile internet improved mental health more than antidepressants and reversed roughly 10 years of attentional decline. Screen time dropped 49% (314 to 161 min/day).

Also a good reason to keep writing code by hand. It keeps you thinking well. I’m aiming to do one practice coding interview a week through tryexponent.com to keep my mind fit now that most coding is done with AI. After I recover my basic skills I’ll spend a day a week coding by hand.
