My literal edge in crypto is that I have experienced more pop culture than anyone else. Starting with Star Wars in the late 70s, pop culture went on its mega run. 80s was insane. My forever ape has the hammer and sickle because it was the end of the Cold War when I was a kid. Rocky 4. Atari and Nintendo and the birth of video games. Seinfeld. Beanie babies. The book IT. I’ve lived through it all. Bored apes was the easiest nft play in 2021. It was obvious. Fartcoin was the easiest Solana meme play anyone will ever see. It was obvious. What ppl want most online is to feel smart. “Look at this super detailed convoluted thesis I have which doesn’t explain in any way who the future buyers at a higher price are”. They miss the obvious play as a result 100% of the time because it doesn’t make them feel smart. Look at all the founders in the nft era who said all these things that sounded smart but were actually quite meaningless. Ppl love to just yap on spaces and after 10 mins of talking they haven’t said a single that indicates there will be future buyers. They haven’t given an actual reason why someone will buy at a higher price. But they sound smart. And so ppl think they are smart. And then those ppl who listen lose their money. Now obviously I write wordy tweets but that’s because I just want ppl to stop and think and reread and form their own conclusions. The value in the written word vs spoken word is different. When I speak on spaces which is rare I’m pretty succinct and to the point. Also I just like creative writing but somewhere in those long tweets I’ve made a very valid point that is important. First thing I ever learned in sales was the 80/20 rule. Listen 80% of the time. Speak 20%. If you can’t sell it speaking 20% of the time, you’re not a good salesman and what you’re selling is most likely smoke and mirrors. The longer someone talks the more they are lying to you.
