The teachers union is holding the City of LA hostage to their demands and hundreds of thousands of families will have their kids out of school thanks to the selfish greed of the Teachers Union. This should not be legal, totally disrupting peoples lives and denying our kids the public education we expect. @TraciParkforLA @MayorOfLA @MattMahanSJ @LAUSDSup @LASchoolsWest

The capital gains tax on the sale of a primary residence in California is insane, outdated, and damaging the finances of local school districts. Where's our congressional delegation? They should be leading the charge to fix this. dailynews.com/2026/04/11/sus…

Very few people OWNED an encyclopedia, dictionaries too. You mostly found those in schools and libraries. Though I think i did technically own a small dictionary, so if that counts the only ones im missing are. 16 and 19. I also didn't do anything with a fax machine until 2008. So thats kinda borderline.

Homelessness in LA is a humanitarian crisis. And our response isn't working. The city has the money to fix this. But we are not moving urgently enough to use this money on what works and demand that every dollar we spend moves as many people off the streets and into safety as possible.  Angelenos have voted three times to tax themselves to respond to this crisis with services and housing. What's been missing is someone willing to do the hard work to build a *system* that really works. I'm running to change that. Read my full at the link in bio.

We went to Skid Row yesterday, we rescued three dogs DYING on the streets. We saw grown adults unconcious on the sidewalk. We saw children drinking out of fire hydrants. @MayorOfLA's repsonse: "Does anybody know a good poet?". WAKE UP KAREN.

This alone should be why nobody in America should ever consider Newsom for any role in government In the seven budgets Newsom has signed, beginning with 2019-20, and the eighth one he has proposed, revenues have increased by 60%, mostly from taxes that tapped into a 48% increase in Californians’ personal income during the period. Total spending, however, jumped 72%, from $203 billion to $349 billion. Where the f did the money go ? My city looks like a 3rd world slum … calmatters.org/commentary/202…

It’s offensive to assume Latinos don’t want to be safe. We all live here. We all raise families here. Karen Bass wants to use ICE to distract from her failures. I want a safe, functional city with real accountability. LA deserves leadership, not excuses.

I hope and pray that Savannah Gutherie's mom is found and is brought home safe. But I also would like to live in a world where a kidnapped Child of Color received this level of media coverage or anywhere close to it. When does this type of thing finally change? It's 2026.

I’ve been to numbers 1,2 and 3. Algarve is amazing. Crete is next level. Got married there in June.
Make L.A. Great Again 🇺🇸@lalovestrump

I asked Grok for some places with similar weather to L.A in other countries that are nice to live and these were the results Have you ever been or lived in one of these places ? What do you think ? Portugal is the place I hear about more Americans moving to of all those 1. Alicante or Valencia, Spain
These coastal Mediterranean cities have one of the closest climate matches to LA: sunny, dry summers, mild winters, and beach access. Spain offers great food, culture, healthcare, and walkable urban life.
Cost of living is much lower—often around $1,500-2,500/month for a single person (including rent), vs. LA’s higher figures. Valencia, in particular, is praised for its revival, beaches, and affordability. (Imagine a sunny beach promenade in Alicante or Valencia’s modern City of Arts and Sciences.) 2. Lisbon or the Algarve region, Portugal
Very similar mild Mediterranean weather: warm, sunny, coastal breezes, minimal extremes. Portugal ranks high for quality of life, English-friendly expats, safety, and modern amenities.
Significantly cheaper than LA—Lisbon often ~50% lower overall, with comfortable living for $1,600-2,500/month. (Lisbon’s hilly streets and ocean views, or Algarve’s golden beaches.) 3. Athens or islands like Crete/Chania, Greece
Classic Mediterranean climate very akin to LA: hot dry summers, mild winters, tons of sunshine. Rich history, food, and island vibes make it appealing for a relaxed yet vibrant life.
One of Europe’s more affordable options—often $1,200-2,000/month, about half of LA in many categories. (Athens Acropolis views or Crete’s coastal scenery.) 4. Santiago, Chile (or nearby coastal areas like Valparaíso)
Central Chile has a Mediterranean-like setup: dry summers, rainy winters, mild temps. Santiago is a modern capital with mountains nearby, good infrastructure, and growing expat scene.
Much cheaper—often in the $1,000-2,000/month range for comfortable living.
