But they also referenced £2000 which would include their scullers. My point was that their and other’s rowers get a much better experience for the same fee than the scullers do.

@WBSBC @David__Osland Good to hear but too little too late for many. This type of thing is critical to inclusiveness and the relevance of the sport. Those in charge need to act accordingly. It was great to see that the new Junior Girls 8 is open to clubs. Now for gender parity!

@river_dad @David__Osland This has been discussed and pushed a lot in recent years I can assure you - there is a changing tide - much still needs to happen but it is happening

@WBSBC @David__Osland But Henley Royal Regatta then exclude the clubs from competing in the junior boys 8 event - the Princess Elizabeth. Prejudice/privilege/tradition whatever you want to call it runs very deep.

@David__Osland Schools — not as many as private schools for sure but the ones that do are doing a great job breaking down stereotypes - however most BR rowing clubs are full of state school kids - and they do a great job with them!
