EAST: It's been a thoroughly wet day across much of Norfolk, especially northern areas where the Environment Agency rain gauges at North Walsham and Burnham have recorded 61mm and 50mm respectively since last night. 🌧️ The average for the whole of October is 65mm.
This is the @riverglaven at Thornage Mill following mass soil loss to river from the @VolkerFitzUK @Orsted cable works. An ecological disaster. Spawning gravels now under >0.5 m of silt. Please stop this @EnvAgencyAnglia. I used to fish here as a little boy. I am broken by this.
More sediment pouring off the fields into the #River #Glaven to add to the previous dollop about 10 days ago 🥺
Selbrigg pond today after lots of sediment runoff from a nearby construction. This was nearly gin clear a few weeks ago when we were filming Pike. The river Glaven has also been hugely affected by this event. Dreadful to see.
