Like imagine ability of China to get external money ( FDI ) into Chinese market for their upcoming icos. Game theory also suggest if it puts a dent on dollars, they will try to close this. Let’s see. I think this need to be thought from first principles , current finra rules etc don’t work.

The amount of national capital available is quite static. What I really means there is only so much money Americans can invest in America, Chinese in China, Indians in India etc. Open markets ( or on crypto rails ) bring unprecedented wealth to national coffers. I am sure in 2-3 years smart nations will start capitalizing on this. Back in 2022 when I had this thesis, I think only gcr & joe aligned while it got lot of pushback.

I think you are thinking about this in the wrong way. If they can produce cheaper and more distilled models - just means USA will be able to provide as well ( just killing the delta eventually ). The delta of Chinese models being superior or at par , just lasts for a short while until ram considerations allow inference at hardware (laptop) level. Only bad part is valuation reset which kind of nothing to do with tech stack.

if these Chinese models really are all “distillations” but they can put them out <2 weeks after release of the American flagship models and evade whatever detection algos the US firms have put in place to stop that distillation then the US firms are cooked anyway there is no way to sustain any durable advantage

Memes are great but i think they are capping runners due to their nature Memes are really fun, its akin to escape room or finding candy. You as a trader are non stop researching of setting up trackers, bots, Tg groups etc to catch the next runner. Eventually burning out.

Here is how I think about creator tokens. The real question is not how much existing value a creator can move onchain e.g bringing my Youtube or X payouts on chain. It is how much net new demand they can create onchain, excluding creator fees The two questions are How many new users, deposits and customers can creators bring onchain? And can crypto create new onchain native celebs? Youtube, Instagram and Tiktok made completely unknown people famous. Onchain platforms need to do the same. But the token cannot be the entire product. The token should help finance, coordinate and grow a real business or community around the creator. A streamer could launch a branded neobank built on crypto rails, bringing in new users and deposits, similar to what MrBeast is beginning to do with Step. Gary Vee / Flyfish Club used NFTs to raise capital and bootstrap a real restaurant and membership club. The NFT was the starting point and now they have a full fledged restaurant and community in NC A gaming creator could build their own branded game, bring their audience with them and use the token for membership, rewards or in game currency. Creator tokens should be less like memes and more like infra for turning attention into new products, companies, deposits, customers and eventually new celebs created entirely onchain. There is still severe execution risk. We have seen many people try and fail. The model probably take off after a few creators build real businesses people continue using e.g how many users/deposits did you bring on chain Once you have on chain volume then you can monetize onchain and show why the token should exist in the first place

We experimented with socialfi few times - most time they died due lack of 1) creators ability to not give value beyond 8th day and token going to 0 2) every buyer is a flipper or a trader ; token going to zero but i think it at root level ; creators treat token as governance token while traders hope it's a utility.
